LUCY & EDMUND Which would you rather stop by first? spending time together • late afternoon, 1 april ⚠ tbd incomplete
"So how infatuated do you think our dear brother is?" Lucy asked Edmund as they stepped out of Pickman and into the late afternoon sun. She had arrived home from work and rather than try to relax, she thought she'd check in on Edmund and they could try to find the library. Or the bookstore- she wasn't picky. And perhaps they could pick up some dinner and spend some time together, just the two of them.
She'd had time with both Peter and Susan, after all. And it wasn't that she and Ed hadn't spent time together, but she still liked trying to cultivate the individual relationships she had with her siblings, rather than trying to lump everything together. They'd spent so much time together over the last fifteen years that she was learning to appreciate spreading her wings here- her new job was different than anything she'd ever done before, but it felt like a challenge that she was going to enjoy.
They slowed as they reached an intersection. "So I think if we turn left, we head toward the library, and if we turn right, we head toward the bookstore. Which would you rather stop by first?"
