Things were getting bad, between the weather and the creatures coming up out of the water and now the sewers? This was becoming more and more difficult to avoid, unlike some of the other threats they'd faced before now this was something that hit just a little closer to home. Maybe it had just been because he'd gotten that message in his head, as much as Eddie had complained about the mess he'd have preferred cleaning off a mirror to having his head invaded.
He'd cancelled his classes for the week, but he wasn't going to just skip out on the routine, even if he did it at home. He had enough space to meditate in his bedroom - and if he was going to make it through this then Stan was going to need to center himself a little bit more often. He was fine, It was gone, he had his friends, he was safe.
He took a breath, closing his eyes as he let the world slip away, the sound of rain hitting the windows easing him into that space between awareness and letting go. Breathing in and breathing out, he was safe, he was okay, he was protected. But - where there was normally nothing but the calm quiet of his own mind, there was something, an awareness there like it had been waiting for him.
