Lux/Stella (still open to more)
"That's okay! Lux does mean light, that makes sense." Whether her parents had known what they were doing when they named her, she wasn't sure, but it was something she had thought about quite a bit when she learned the Latin roots of her name. Either way, she was glad to be with Stella.
Lux joined in on trying to light the place, but it seemed like a wasted effort. For a moment, it was almost all lit up - she could see most of the others in the dark basement. The lights, however, were extinguished moments later and in the dark, Lux could almost make out the shape of someone - or something coming towards them.
Stella's distress was felt more than seen, and Lux did her best to light up the area to see what was going on. "Stella? Stella are you - " Something cold touched Lux's arm and she felt a chill down in her bones and felt suddenly as if there was no light or happiness in the world. All of her lights - even her natural glow, died instantly.
After a moment, she was able to bring it back, and saw Stella being attacked. Thinking quickly, Lux threw a shield in front of Stella, warding off the shadow that was trying to hurt her friend. Redirected, the shadow ran through Lux. The shield and her glow died again, and Lux fell to her knees, gasping.
Crawling to Stella, she hugged her friend - which was just enough to let Lux throw another shield of light around them. "A-a-are you okay?"
