	Crime 101. Running is key. It's kind of why I take a morning run. Not for the crime aspect. I was actually part of a team back home that stopped criminals. 	I'd say give or take 3 years or so. At least that's when i joined Dick and Kori's team. Impressive. However I am not a druid. I am a Paladin. Lvl 11. I will smite and protect with the occasional healing. You catch on quick. I like that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Nah. As far as I know, I was the only one able to shift. Dick used to be an acrobat and then guess turned to be a vigilante and Kori - well Kori's an alien from another planet.

Yeah. The last D&D group I played with thought the same. But I liked surprising them.

Now I feel like a total ass though. It feels like I'm always talking about me. What about you? What are you capable of Will?

You shouldn't feel like an ass! Your shapeshifting is so cool, I like hearing about it. My stuff is kind of, not cool. It's kind of traumatic and I can't really do anything unless it's connected to this alternate dimension from home. I'm attached to it, I guess. Psychically. Kind of.

	Oh yeah, I've never heard of that. But what about a Paladin? It was really bad. Freezing and hard to breathe. I guess one thing I'm capable of is surviving in there and running away from the monster. I was pretty young. Then I got possessed. I do still feel it here, less than home but not zero. Yeah, that may be because of the different worlds/timelines we got going on here,

A Paladin never breaks their oath or loyalty. A Paladin is honest and compassionate. Therefore, my word is my promise.

I'm glad you survived. This may not be home for you ~~yet~~ but I'm sure that there are people here who can and want to help. Is it a strong presence or is it more subdued?

Oh. Yeah, that's really good. :)

I'm glad I did too. It's more like it comes and goes. It was more back home, for a little while I could feel it so strongly and I had visions and stuff with it but now it's more like a cold terror, like being frozen in fear.

There are these magicians here that are helping. I haven't really told anyone about it yet. They said they're going to do a psychic patch. It sounds kind of scary.

You're right it is a little bit weird. But it's nice to know that there's more than just us, you know? And the stars? They might be. They've been here longer than any of us. Have you done any star-gazing here yet? I bet the roof has great views.

Well shit. Is it debilitating you? How often do it happen? And do you want those magicians to do that to you? I get being scared. I do. I still live in fear of losing control after shifting.

I haven't done very much. Just looked up sometimes when it's night. But I bet the roof has really good star-gazing, I bet you're right.

It's only debilitating for a few seconds. Here is just once a day or even every other day so it's not that bad. I think they should do it, I'm afraid of having that connection open.

Is there anything that helps you keep control?

Well hell Will. Does it happen when you're at a specific place? Maybe something about it could be triggering you. No yeah, I can see why you want to close it.

It could be something inconsequential, like a memento. I had a strong connection with my games so that kind of helped. But then having someone around, physically, helped too. A close friend of mine, Rachel, was someone that I felt like I could confide in. She helped me a lot. And now, not having either one here, is kind of freaking me out. Hence why I haven't really shifted too much.

It seems like it happens anywhere. I think it's because there's a demodog here. It's a monster from that alternate universe. I guess it's been running around here for a while. But everybody thinks it's in the woods and I don't go hiking or anything so I'm not near it.

I know we just started hanging out but if it would help you to have somebody nearby when you shift, I don't mind. Do you miss it?

	Exactly. Case in point if anyone asks. A picture would be good so that I know what to look out for when I go on my runs. As a human is one thing, I'm tougher than I look. A demodog isn't so bad by itself. There was a pack of them back home a few years ago. You still don't want to meet one but it's not as bad as a demogorgon. I think the demodogs are baby demogorgons, since the demogorgons hook people into the hive mind and the people grow the demodogs in their bodies, after that. Sorry that's a lot of information and some of it is really gross.

Are you always green when you're an animal? Is that why your hair is?

In their body? So it uses humans as shells to manipulate all the while other humans are unaware as to what's happening. Hmm. That's not completely a first for me. Mind manipulation is cruel. I'm already not liking them.

Yeah. It's a part of the package. I guess the best way to say it is that I'm a metahuman. I nearly died when I was in the Congo with my parents. They didn't survive the plague but Dr. Caulder managed to save me. And now ... I'm able shift.

	Usually they're dead. But they also possess people, or, well it's a different monster that possesses people but they're all connected to the hive mind. And if you're not dead then sometimes you spit out these slug things and they grow up to be demodogs. It's not a first? I'm sorry about what happened to your parents, Gar. I'm really sorry. No, not a first. A group was manipulating me. They were controlling my shifting by playing classical music me and made me attack other humans so that they could make money off of me.

Thanks Will. It's been awhile since they've been gone but I still think of them. Id like to think that they'd be proud of who I became though.
