Re: Belphegor + Addie
Earnestly, Bel hadn't really been trying to shock the young woman with his little shared bit of confession. If anything he merely figured that things would be a bit easier in the long run, if he was upfront with the other fog refugees. Still there was no denying that her bewildered expression held a bit of amusement for him all the same. "Sure. Actual hell. That's been my home for...well I've stopped keeping count over the last few thousand years, but I've been down there for a very long time."
As she took a seat he made no effort to shy away, nor to get closer. In fact, Bel barely moved at all, save for finishing off his beer and fishing out a second. The mention of someone named Sweeney didn't ring any bells, though when she asked why he was here the demon actually glanced back to Addie for a moment. That eyebrow arching ever so slightly as that little crooked smile returned once more. "Well I'm here because the fog decided to take me, just like you. Wasn't exactly planned, or expected. But since I'm here now, I figured I'd make the most of it."
Being called a devil did draw forth that chuckle again, along with a tiny shake of his head. "Nah, he's dead. I'm just your run of the mill, 9 to 5 clock punching demon...okay, so maybe you'd not be wrong in saying I was also one of the Princes of Hell too, but I'm not like those other idiots. If anything I'm a lot more chill, and laid back. Though that might be why they called me the demon of Sloth. Cause I always was the lazy sort."
Hearing that the woman figured heaven and hell were just a story didn't surprise Bel in the slightest. If anything, a lot of damned souls that ended up in his care had believed the very same thing. Only to be in for quite the shock when they died. "Both are real, though likely not quite like the stories you've heard. Angels are total dicks. Seriously. If you ever meet one, run or prepared to be bored to tears."
That brow of his furrowed a bit when she tried to utter her name, only to fail. And when she offered up Addie, the demon nodded his head. "If you're fretting over speaking your true name to me, cause you think I'd use it to take your soul or something, that's really not my bag. I'm not one of those crossroads demons, who go around making deals with humans. So like I said before, you really don't have to fret about me."
