Re: Belphegor + Addie
Social cues and human manners were still a bit new to the very old demon. Okay, maybe not new, but it had been a few thousand years since Bel had been human himself. So after having spent so long down in Hell, he was still somewhat rusty when it came to just what was or wasn't normal human behavior. Doubly so, given that his only company over the centuries had been other demons, or the souls of the damned that Belphegor spent countless years tormenting and torturing. Which was why he didn't find it even slightly strange that she took a little peek at what was there beneath his shades...or what wasn't.
"It doesn't hurt. If that is what you were thinking. Don't feel anything one way or another. But yeah, the shades are more so folks do go freaking out or gawking when I'm out and about." There was no edge to his words. No trace of any annoyance or anger. If anything the demon spoke of his missing eyes, as if he were simply chatting about the weather. And for a brief moment he turned to look at her, a single hand reaching up to slide those sunglasses down his nose until Addie could see what was hidden by the shades. Those burned and blackened sockets starring right at her, only for Bel to chuckle anew as he slipped the shades back up once more.
"Nope. I'm from somewhere a bit more warm. But the fog took me and brought me here, like yourself, I'd imagine." As far as what all was going on, and why there was a parade slowly moving down the middle of the main street, he had no clue. So with a shrug the demon just took another handful of kettle corn before chiming in once more. "Magic is involved. That much is clear. But I don't have a clue just who or what is behind it all. What about you though? Any theories pop into your head yet?"
