Not being parent-like can mean different things. You don't have to live with your guide if that's what you're thinking.

You can think about other things than a person's career. Especially here, where people are new and it can take time to find the right job.

Think about what Joe is like, if you get along and if you'd be comfortable talking to him if you needed help.
