That was true - things back home were... well they were always dancing a knife's edge, some days were good, better than good, and others were a lot less good. And while things here might get a little strange, there hadn't been anyone here who had attacked any of them because just because they were mutants. That counted for something. Being just the same as everyone else even while she was still herself. It was the kind of thing she hoped they'd figure out back home one day.
But for now they were here and she didn't have many complaints about all of it. Not so long as a few things remained the same.
"If I did it, it wouldn't be for you." She told him, the corners of her mouth turning upward, amused at his reassurance. "No matter how cute you are. It'd be for me, and what I want." Which was him, and so many other things.
