It had been a little bit like stepping back in time, to a point when she'd still been learning about herself and what she could do - and her place in the world. And to come from that moment, when she'd seen nothing but hope and potential laid out before her to being trapped in this place with people who knew her but she felt like she'd never met? Without those she'd trusted? It had thrown Rogue for the kind of loop she hadn't experienced in more years than she wanted to think about.
And now she was back again, her own self fully aware of who and where she was, and what she'd said to her friends. Embarrassment was a word.
It would have bene easy to pretend like it never happened, she even suspected Remy at least might let her get away with it if she was stubborn enough, but she owed him better than that. If they were going to make the kinds of steps forward here they had been he deserved honesty from her.
It the end of the night, things winding down and she thought maybe it was the right time to broach the subject.
"Don't suppose you got a lil time to talk, Shug'?" She didn't like things feeling odd between them, they'd been getting so close, and then her past had come up out of no where knocking things off balance and she needed to fix them. Or try at the very least.
