Happy first day of Hogwarts, everyone. I'm making pumpkin pasties, cauldron cakes, and treacle tart to celebrate. And by me, I mean Remington because why would I eat any sweets made by anyone else?

Well, the Welcoming Feast and the End of Term are similar. Lots of roast meats and vegetables and steak and kidney pie. Blocks of ice cream in assorted flavors, pumpkin tarts, chocolate éclairs, apple pie, and - of course - pudding.

The Hallowe'en Feast always had live bats fluttering about and cauldrons full of lollipops and goblets filled with brightly wrapped candies. The pumpkin pasties were never better than during the Hallowe'en Feast. There was proper food as well, of course, but I'm fairly certain most kids were unrestrained and woke with stomach aches the next morning.

Christmas was decorated with live trees lit by faeries and since most students went home for Christmas, it was usually smaller and more intimate with giant roast turkeys and chipolata. Of course it was served with lots of gravy and boiled potatoes and buttered peas and cranberry sauce. Flaming pudding with silver sickles for dessert (don't eat the sickle) and there were Wizard Crackers to bust open and share the prizes.

The feasts are really a delight.

I mean, I am because I know it doesn't really matter who we're dreaming of, right? But I also realize how weird and complicated this all is now because the memories and the feelings we get from these memories are real enough and it's frustrating to know that someone else is going to be experiencing some of these memories with you that I just can't because there are a lot of them that we don't share.

And I guess it's just frustrating, too, that it's Jack. Because of course it's Jack. Jack is always the Harry and I'm always the Neville and that's not his fault. I don't hold it against him. It's just [...] exhausting always being...me.

But I love you and I want you to know that, no matter how weird or complicated it is or becomes, it's never going to be too weird or complicated to talk to me. I'm always here for you, no matter what.

No, it doesn't matter. I always figured there was a Harry out there somewhere, but I just [...] kind of hoped it was someone that I didn't know or wasn't related to by marriage. The dreams don't matter, though. They're complicated and difficult at times, but it's our lives together here that matters. As long as I have you to help me through the tough stuff, just like you will always have me, we'll be all right.

Jack is wonderful and I think the world of him, but he's no you. I know that my saying as much doesn't fix things, but I'm always going to be your number one fan and personal cheerleader. If there's anything I can ever do to make things even a little less exhausting, you know that I'll be there in an instant.

I love you so much, Leo. And you know what? I always thought Ginny and Neville should have ended up together anyway.
