Duncaster

Hi all! Fresh meat and easily enabled alert. My name is Lis. I've casually stalked the game off and on for the past month, but I now have time to look at a game set right in my backyard. But less about me.

I'm looking to bring in a witch tentatively called Rory Jude Lockwood. She's not a native, but she spent summers on the Connecticut side with her grandmother, who is still kicking around. Jude came here about 18 months ago and opened up a tea room/cafe and bakery after having a near-death experience that forced her to reevaluate her priorities. Let her shove some pastry in your mouth.

I also have a second concept percolating. A former witch turned bitten werewolf. His parents see it as the end of the world, but he likes the freedom from their expectations it's given him. Honestly. He's here to chill and maybe nerd out more as he works on getting his doctorate. If anyone would like to discuss that too.

I'm not certain I'm going to use this face, and the bio in her journal is from a previous game and is rough! (though I'd like to keep the general highlights of it) All that said, I'd like to see if this kinda baby werewolf would get any lines here.

She was a child star until she "divorced" her mother at the age of sixteen. That's when she moved to Duncaster and started working at a bar. It was there, one night about two years ago, that she was attacked by a very hungry wolf. Luckily, the wolf stopped before they killed her, and someone found her before she entirely bled out.

I'd love some lines with the pack that exists here. (In her bio, I have a line for the person who found her and took her under their wing) I'd love the wolf that attacked her, who for some reason, she's in love with, despite never seeing their human face. And just lines in general! She doesn't talk much about her life before Duncaster, but anyone who might recognize her from her childhood could be cool. Friends who just get her, despite her wild child attitude. Anything! Throw it all at me!

I'd very much like you to meet Bailey. He's just turned 22 and has been in Duncaster for about a year. He's a werewolf who's starting over. He has only just joined the CT pack officially and moved into the packhouse after spending a year getting to know Cameron and, eventually, the pack alpha.

He's a mechanic, and when I get a couple of minutes I'll create a location for him to work at but he's a good little greasemonkey and he's an excellent MacGuyver when it comes to fixing just about anything.

He'a shy, nerdy little bean and a certified Good Boy, so please to be giving him head pats and cuddles and friends.

Hey peeps, it's Pickler with a new char! This is Mars, she's 21 (will be 22 next month). She is a half-Fae Witch who was raised by her fae dad with help from her older half-brother (yep, he's a fae). Her craft focuses a lot on healing and she is the official "healer" for the CT wolf pack. You can read more about her right here.

Some things about Mars is that she loves cats, she also has two cats that rule her world at home. She's also into older video games, reading, and spending time out in the woods. She presently holds two jobs, one in a local diner and another at a local bookstore. She eventually wants to focus on one career path, but is still deciding what she wants to be when she grows up.

I'm down for organic builds or plotting some connections.

Hi there! I'm a newbie.

I'm wondering if this game night be a good fit so I'm giving my fella here a shot. This is Sam, a normal human man. He's 40, he's freshly divorced, he's moved back in with his elderly mom on the CT side. I really wanted to write someone who's starting over, kind of finding himself all over again after his life as he knew it ceased to exist. The sky is the limit!

He's going back to his nerdy roots after he sort of repressed them for a lot of his marriage. His ex-wife wasn't a bad person but they were different people and maybe he changed who he was to fit her, and now he's finding himself again. And himself may be a nerdy bisexual. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, I'm working on his app this weekend so if there's anything for him I'm all ears!

O-Hi friends. It's Amy and clearly, people have been talking to me because I definitely just did 3 apps in one day. It's fine. Blame Rae and Kat.

First new person is Marius Rivers austeres. He's 42 and a K9 officer and has been there since he packed his shit up and moved home from Virginia Beach. He currently is living with his brother, his son, and his two dogs (his K9 and one ex-military) and the chaos of their house is immense. But he did buy his own house he's just slowly (very slowly) fixing it up or so he says. Former Military, Marius got out and just wants a 'normal' life away from the military and crazy ex-girlfriends. Clearly, this is why you date men. Or so he says. He's very friendly, outgoing, and loves a good time. LOVE HIM. HE LOVES PEOPLE. (He's a lifer, he lived there his whole life until after his military career)

The second is Eris St. Croix lua. She's 36 and is the NY Alpha's Luna/Mate and has moved here from California. Currently, she's taken up residence in the coroner's office doing work, though she is a Forensic Pathologist and would rather be with a medical examiner. She has recently been made a werewolf so she is still learning bits about becoming one. Not necessarily the most open, but does need friends and things.

The last is Estelal Romanio (this journal). She's 24 and owns an occult shop that was previously owned by her grandmother. She grew up from age 11+ in Duncaster and only left briefly to get to know her father better/attend college closer to him. She has been back in Duncaster for 2 years and is very sweet, albeit a bit careless at times though she is trying to improve some of her worse habits. She could use all the friends and all the things.

Hello hello! This is always nerve-wracking but here we go: I'm Clez, and I'm new, bringing in this character here by the name of Cameron Lowe.

So a teeny bit about me: I'm GMT, have been RPing for what feels like an Age, and I'm usually up for just about anything (within reason). All my contact details can be found in Cameron's journal, and I should have a dropbox up soon!

Now for Cameron: she's a near-century old werewolf from Canada, and the CT pack Gamma. She was turned a good while back when a bog-standard hunt went awry and she distracted a werewolf long enough for her younger siblings to get clear. Didn't end well, go figure. She's travelled around a bit, only in North America though, and she's been in a couple of packs before, but the CT pack is her highest rank to date. I've intentionally left her history with the pack so vague as to be transparent to allow people to pitch/for us to work on things together and establish some backstory, if people are up for that!

Honestly, I would love anything and everything for this lady -- if you can think it, toss it at me, and unless it's super bonkers I'll probably pounce on it in the blink of an eye :'D

Hey peeps, it’s Pickler here with my second character for the game. Meet James, a 75 year old Witch that has been a lifer of Duncaster. Primarily living most of his life on the CT side of town, but born and raised in the NY side. You can read more in depth about him and his abilities right here. Though I am currently working on his backstory info.

James (as far as anyone knew) worked in a boring accountant job, in a boring office building for years prior to his retirement. What he really did was work for the government in a special supernatural unit. What the government didn’t realize is he was working more towards protecting other supernaturals. Only some supernaturals may be privy to this information, as he likely could have told them to hide or given a subtle heads up for them to temporarily relocate. He also may or may not have used his own abilities on numerous occasions to distract a hunt if he felt anyone was in danger of being discovered.

Currently, James has come out of retirement back in 2020 to take over his brother’s comic book shop, Vinny’s Comics after the man’s passing. James will fully admit he is not as passionate about comics and graphic novels as his brother was and relies heavily on the staff of the store to help the customers a lot more than he does.

James is the grandfather of Celeste (pythonissam), and a descendant of the coven Druscylla (druscylla) gifted their magic too. He'll also be a "grandfather" to a Fae he inadvertently helped rescue and raise that'll be coming in soon hopefully.

Open to all the things really as he is a town lifer and 75. Happy to find neighbors, employees of Vinny's Comics, young witches he can help guide in their craft, someone to play chess with, and whatever else our minds can collaborate together!

yes, hi, hello. i bring you america's ass a fae who doesn't know what kinda fae he is! because he's never met another fae. he is assuming he is a fire elemental fae. but alas no! he is the rarest of faes! maybe the last in this mortal realm. he is a phoenix. shhhh.

he moved to duncaster last year and he teaches 3rd grade. he is kind, sweet, and from charleston, south carlina so there's a vague southern accent that becomes more prominent when he drinks. he's the kind of teacher who coordinates his outfits for the lesson and wears costumes and adores puppies.

so, since he's been here a year, i'd love to have co-workers, neighbors, new friends. perhaps fae who've been eyeing him suspiciously but not said a word. send all lines my way!

Hi guys

After retiring Theo I have app’ed a new character called Yong-Sun Lee who is a 26 year old human. He’s fully aware of the supernatural, was a Donor back home (i.e. broke af so selling blood made sense), but has come over to the States to visit Jinhae and by extension Arden because… well, obviously.

He will eventually be working as a bartender at Black Velvet as right now he’s under the mistaken impression that he’ll have a vacation and then be sent back to South Korea.

Sunny as he likes to be called is outgoing, loyal, but also complex, touch greedy, definitely a dreamer, and somebody who likes to think bigger than he has the means to make happen.

I’d like to get him fully ensconced in the world of Duncaster so lines, connections, scenes, give them to me!

Hi friends I'm Amy and I'll be bringing you two kids to plot with!

First is this journal - This is Penny. She's an ER Doctor just out of specialization training. Penny is a very sweet person but tends to forget that life outside the hospital exists. A social life? What's that? She could use friends or people that know her from growing up locally. She grew up on the CT side but lives on the NY side with her friend.

The second new friend I've app'd is Valiant Thomas valiantwolf. Vale is the Alpha for the CT side of Duncaster. Vale owns a gym that offers normal classes but also defense classes. He's a very outgoing person but for all the people he knows very few actually know a lot about him. He's originally from PA but has been many places and became Alpha by circumstance rather than because he was trying for it. I'm open to anything as far as connections with him!

Greetings! I bring you Rowan. He moved to our charming town when he was a kid and his father opened up a flower shop called Rain's Blessings. He probably took over some older florist's shop. He's grown up here. He travelled away the last few years for school where he trained to become a forensic scientist because he wants to help people and graduated with his masters degree in May.

He reunited with his dad for like a night and woke up to a Dear John letter with his father skipping town and leaving him the house and the shop. So, yay!

Since he grew up in town, he's available for all the connections you want to give me! People who were friends with his father, people he went to high school with, anyone who wants to have worked or be working in the flower shop he now has no idea how to really run because he only worked there in the summers doing grunt work?

Most if not all of you know me, but introductions feel like a good way to kick this off. MJ here with these five characters.

Some will be familiar to you and these are Arden and Daniel, both business owners, one owns Tooth and Nail (Arden) and is a vampire as well as being the Vampire King of New York. He's a calm, collected, well put together individual, but definitely not to be crossed so best to avoid that if you can. As for Daniel (owns The Looking Glass) he's a cursed!human who by all rights should be dead, but he can't die because of the nifty curse inflicted on him by his wronged Fae lover. Generally speaking he tries not to let that define him, he's also done a lot of growing up so he's much more mature and together than he used to be.

Then there are some new faces and concepts which are:

Han - Former human/hunter turned vampire who thought he could escape the family legacy, made some bad no good choices and in his mind was responsible for the slaughter of his entire family. Very much hellbent on revenge and can be found fighting at Tooth and Nail.

Silas - Familiar face, but different concept. He's a winter Fae, former soldier, exiled from Fae for refusing to murder an innocent village. Massive tattoo enthusiast and likes to keep in good shape if you hadn't already guessed. Is working as the manager of Tooth and Nail so if you want to fight? He's the guy to talk to. He's affable, pretty down to earth, but much like Arden he's one to keep on your good side.

Theo - Werewolf, Alpha of his own pack, owns and works out of Ink Master. He's also from London and had come the US for a holiday only for his life to be turned inside out when he was attacked whilst camping.

Happy to talk lines, connections, friendships etc etc because I am literally up for anything.

Hey everyone! I've been meaning to do this for a while now, but between vacation and then an extended weekend away I've been very scarce. But hello! I'm Jazz, and I'm new. I didn't play at the game that shall not be named, so my guys will be completely new to you!

First this is Seth Adams, a simple human. He owns a photography studio and is a transplant from Boston. He was pretty beat up by the foster care system until he was sixteen, when he was adopted by a fantastic family. His mother is a US senator and his father is a college professor. And Seth himself? Well. He's not the brightest but he's got the spirit? He's also incredibly sweet. His bio is in this journal for a good browse.

Secondly, I have huxlynn, a merman, which is a subset of the fae. He's been in this realm for around 75 years now and has wandered the globe, enjoying oceans and men and growing his wealth. He is, however, extremely polite and kind, values genuineness and integrity. He owns a gym with a unique salt water pool (that's his own private playground after closing) that I still need to submit to the business page. But his bio is also in his journal.
