Put to rest what you thought of me Who: Rinoa and Edea Where: The southern shoreline of Balamb When: Afternoon, after these messages
Rinoa had arrived early, mostly because she'd wanted some time to think. The spot of beach she'd found was empty save for her and Angelo, and that was precisely how Rinoa wanted it. From here, Edea should be able to see her and vice versa, and no one would be around to over hear their conversation. Not that Rinoa was interested in hiding, far from it, but with the current atmosphere surrounding Garden, at least as far as sorceresses were concerned, this was for the best. She didn't want to cause any more trouble for Edea and despite what anyone might say about her, Rinoa didn't want to deal with problems on her own end, either. She didn't actively try to get herself into situations she couldn't get herself out of, after all.
She'd spent a good part of the last few years actively ignoring what she was. A sorceress. Capable of naturally using magic. A weapon. Very nearly the destroyer of the world. While Rinoa knew that was Ultimecia, that she'd been possessed, it was hard sometimes to separate the two. She was terrified that something might happen again, that she might be used, manipulated, taken advantage of. Rinoa didn't want that to happen. She believed she was still a good person, that she could help others with this gift, somehow. But the task was daunting and in comparison, working in Timber had been far easier for her.
But Rinoa couldn't run forever, and there was only one person in this world she could talk to about all of this. One person who would understand. Edea said she wanted to help, and Rinoa believed her intentions were good. She was in the same boat Rinoa was, after all, and neither of them could predict the future.
Rinoa sighed, adjusting her sunglasses on her nose. At least she had time to throw a ball for Angelo for a while, the dog more than happy to chase it down along the beach.
