The Raven Cycle - Ronan et al
In the dream, Adam was in love with Blue, and Gansey, impossibly, was ignoring her and reciting a dissertation on why Adam should love him instead. Blue was incandescent with rage, but Ronan could see her hurt bleeding out into the labyrinthine forest surrounding her, the trees rotting in her wake.
Opal was frolicking beside him, giggling in a high-pitched, unnatural tone and Chainsaw cawed, in deep discussion with a raven called Matthew.
Ronan tried speaking to his friends but dream-Adam only turned to him briefly and, in his blandest Harvard accent apologised, “Sorry, is that Latin?”
