Black Sails - Silver & Flint
Silver limps up the beach into the trees, he begins to climb, scrambling fast. Flint described each step he now takes. Then how it felt to dive with the chest, his lungs protesting, but to keep swimming.
He follows Flint’s directions, but has yet to decide if he will abide by his exhortation: “Never forget, that cash was cursed. Only take what you need.”
He doesn’t forget the cost, how could he? But his need drove him to seek Flint out, and then, again, to leave him.
Because he knows what he could achieve with this treasure. That’s his curse.
