SG Atlantis - McKay, Sheppard, Keller, OFC (the obligatory massage post)
People had told Jennifer about Doctor McKay; they had sounded oddly fond when describing his very blunt manner of speaking. Apparently it was something people came to find endearing. She was reserving judgement.
McKay was currently berating a nurse about her attempts to massage the knot in his shoulder between dressing changes. One more rude comment and Jennifer would intervene.
The nurse sighed loudly, “If you don’t like it, why don’t you stop using the arm like you were told?”
McKay’s other arm went up, “And let this place sink around us? Suicide by inadequate technique, is that your plan?”

Owens was massaging Rodney’s shoulder with fond patience when Sheppard entered the infirmary. John presented his leg to the doctor for inspection and listened casually. It was heart warming how many staff had taken up Carson’s mantle of obstinate opposition with Rodney after such a heavy loss.
Rodney whined and John turned instinctively, “What’s up?”
“She’s doing it wrong,” Rodney explained.
“Well if you followed doctor’s orders...” huffed Owens, giving up to wash her hands. As she collected another dressing John reached over, pushing his thumb into the knot of muscle to knead it firmly.
Rodney groaned happily, “That’s better.”

Jennifer stopped the nurse, behind them Doctor McKay made a very un-public noise as Colonel Sheppard started to massage his shoulder. Jennifer carefully indicated towards McKay, “You will say if you have any problems with him? I can speak to Doctor Weir.”
The nurse looked from McKay then back, “With Rodney?” Jennifer nodded, “He’s harmless. Doctor Beckett explained him to us years ago.” She returned to her patient, holding the bandage up as a signal.
McKay scoffed, “You can wait; someone in this room doesn’t have weak, little hands.”
“These hands are on the clock,” she retorted firmly, “his aren’t.”
