The White Queen (Jacquetta)
Jacquetta has never been a skittish woman. Travelling with the Mad Queen taught her to brace herself and prepare for the worst. It's a trait that's steeled her in the face of Edward's court and the machinations of his men. But her resolve is tested when, once more, she draws her favoured string from the river. She sees that it is tied to a tiny key, but as she reaches for it the knot slips, and the key falls.
It is an accident, not a portent. Still, Jacquetta cannot resist wondering what lock she will need that key to open.
