[She almost offers to give him money for whatever he wants to buy, but she manages to keep from doing it at the last moment.] I only ever saw him at the park, and he was really quiet there. I think he probably didn't have a lot of toys, since the Johnsons are meticulously neat people. He likes animals though. Maybe something with those? I'll find him something in the shoppes for him to wear. Or I'll send one of the girls. That might be safer. [A sigh.] I know, but she's only getting worse, Luke, not better. As for Alice, if the police get here it doesn't really matter anyway. And if they do, it'll still be okay. [Reassuring.] You'll be okay. [After a thoughtful pause.] Call your brother. Go on.
