What is it with you people and the word 'pathetic' That's not a pathetic excuse. You should tell her that. I think it would mean a lot to her to hear that, once she stopped brushing it off. -- Yeah, that's the hard part - the 'obligation'. Start by telling her you want her around because you like having her there and because you like her. Shit, you could go crazy and tell her what you like about her. But, baby steps. Either way, I'm sure an opportunity will arise eventually.
That makes sense, I think. But is it worth waiting until that day arrives? And what do you in the meantime?
