Re: Luke H/Wren H
I don't know if MK would agree, but I know she needs to. I know I get by just fine when things like Alexander happen, but I became unhealthily immune to that a long time ago. It's not the same for her. And, yes, since Alexander. [Cursor blink.] I know Max almost died, and I know about Amanda and the student. But, Luke, Cerise is only responsible for Max. Whoever she hired messed up and got other people hurt. Why doesn't he get blamed for that instead of her? I'm not saying what she did was right, and I'm not saying she should be absolved, but I'm saying that I understand what it's like not to think, to be upset and not think. Jack should understand that better than anyone. She really believed Jack was dead, and she really believed Max had killed him. [...] I know, because when we left Seattle and forgot all about Jack, she stayed. She lived with him for years, Luke. She stayed with him. And you can't deny that he was better, healthier, and happier when we first saw him here. She got him to stop somehow, without it eating him up like it does now. And she loves him enough to react poorly in her grief. Plus, she kind of told me.
