	The definition of loneliness is the sensation of being alone. You can feel alone when you are with someone, but you are guaranteed to feel alone when there is no one else there. It could be argued that shame is as much a creation of the society around one as it is one's own, but I see your point. Do you find it so easy to ignore shame? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Of course. But it is a possibility, not a guarantee. As for not feeling alone, no amount of friends or family can change the quiet shaming and silent laughter that society imposes on those who have no one to give one of the billion gifts at the store, or the romantic getaway on billboards.
