I suspect the postcard I wrote you mostly talked about the various kinds of food they ate.
My uncle ran with all sorts. One of his friends was a right hand man for a very old school sort of mob in the New York area. They loved their rules and family and saucy foods. All very traditional in a romantic way. They needed my uncle and I to lift some information and paperwork. Standard stuff. The thing about these men that I found interesting was that they were simply boring. They always said things like "I want results" and "as long as it gets done". Their wives made decent enough conversation, but they rarely let me anywhere near them.
