Once there was a young woman with a terrible liar for a father. He told the king that his daughter could spin straw into gold. The greedy king locked the woman up in a tower and told her to spin, spin, spin and if she could not turn the straw into gold then she was to be executed. She was just a mere maid, mind you, so she cried in that tower until you appeared and offered to do the job for her. What was the price of such generosity? Why, her first born!
There was only one way the lass could avoid such a terrible fate: she had to guess your name in three tries. She came up short the first two and then someone overheard you singing your own name up on a mountaintop and gave the information to the girl. She guessed your name, you called her a cheater and tore yourself in half from rage.
A good story, even if there are no morals to be had.
