The thing is, half the time, we know who's responsible, and even why they're doing it. And we usually know what the virus is, too. It's always based off one original; finding the mutations is the tricky part, and what I need scientists and researchers for.
It's usually done out of greed and a lust for power. The usual human bullshit. Sometimes, though ... it's just to end the world.
It's a parasite that I'm trying to get rid of now. Once it gets inside the host, it takes over, warping both the body and the brain to better suit its needs. It's a highly-aggressive type that only wants to kill or infect, but it doesn't take away most of the higher mental functions of the host. They can still talk, think, plan, and attack, and half the time they're more durable and dangerous than they were as humans.
