[Jules forces Violet through the door after this, and before the meeting to lure Nathan. Violet almost turns right around, almost leaves, but she trudges upstairs in the end, avoiding all the bloodied spots, and all the dusted-over, bloodied notes that she won't forget, even if they've been washed away. Her intention is to leave a note on the chalkboard for Tate, but she sees Tate's note, and her own note turns out being longer than she intended.]
I said I wasn't coming back. I wrote it here. I know about you and Hayden, Tate. I know you can't help the stuff you do, but it hurts, Tate. It hurts a lot. It wouldn't if I didn't care about you, but I do. I wish I didn't most days, especially when you do stuff like this.
If things completely suck with this psycho guy, and if Jules dies or something, you have to keep Loren from going crazy. Jules says to tell you. Ok? Um, and I guess I'll be back if that does happen.
I love you.
[The strikethrough is visible, and there are droplets of blood around the bedroom that dry within a few minutes of her leaving the note on the chalkboard.]
