[Friday morning, Sam woke up in Henderson. She was miles away from home, and she had no fucking clue who the guy in bed with her was. Her arms were tracks and bruises, and her mouth was cotton. She spent the next three hours hugging a toilet, her knees bruised from god knows fucking what. The drug den was crowded, and she had no clue whose fucking clothes she ended up slipping on, because there were people in various states of undress all over the fucking place, and she didn't even know if her own shit was there. It was only luck that she found her phone, and she had no clue where her money or keys were.

An hour later, while at a diner and trying to decide who the fuck to call about getting home (and about paying for her cup of coffee). She wanted to ask what day it was, but part of her just didn't want to fucking know.]
