I accounted for everything and adjusted the 100+ point deviation from the U.S. average to account for population and industry risks in the area. It's still higher than average, but relative risk doesn't negate the increase, not for the purposes of this conversation.
The point is that more people die here than other places. Ergo, there should be no surprise that someone was shot here.
