There is a figure, though. He is twenty paces behind Thor, and moving away. He is armed with a shard of jagged ice. His clothes are slightly scorched at the edges, and he is slightly bent. He has his arm clasped close to his chest, and he is endeavoring only to get over the next hill and out of sight, so he can drop the illusion that hides him. How did anyone get to this place so soon? He's been hiding for a day, but the will to hold up the masking illusion was waning with his flagging energy, especially for so many nosy eyes. Even now, the news crews will be back in the morning for more footage of the scene, and he heard them say there will be Americans coming soon.
Behind Thor, if he turns and looks, the whole hill wavers. It's just for a moment, warping like heat waves on desert sands, and then it snaps back to solidity again. No sign of the figure, of course, as he slides slowly away beneath the cover of illusion. If he does not go now, he will have no chance.]
