Returning home to surprises

It's been quite a few years since I've been in London, even longer since I've called it home. After saving and telling Lilah to leave LA, I stayed in Los Angeles for a while to help Angel and the others out for a while, before deciding that there wasn't much left in LA for me anymore so I decided to move back to London. I've been in London for just about a year now. I have my own small flat even though my mother keeps trying to get me to move back into the family Estate. I've managed to decline her offer rather well so far. I own a small bookshop and I mostly keep to myself, I hunt on the rare occasion. I have a good best friend in Leo Wentworth.

Tonight was a quiet night and after closing up the shop Leo had managed to convince me to come out with him to our local pub. He's apparently decided that I need to get out and date more, because the few dates I've been on since being back haven't been enough in his opinion. So here we were sitting at the bar. I was one my second pint when I noticed a young man who couldn't be much older than thirteen. He was with a few friends and the first thing I noticed about him was how much his eyes looked like mine. I moved a little closer to where they were sitting at the bar, so I could get a better look at him.

Worrisome Actions

I knew that I was having an affect on Lilah and her ability to work, which was only one part of the fun that I was having with this. From what I had been able to find out, she had been all but falling asleep in meetings and not paying attention to barely anyone when they were talking to her. Her career falling apart wasn't an intended consequence, but it was certainly nice.

I obviously couldn't be in Wolfram & Hart without someone knowing that I was around, and I couldn't watch her during the day, but former colleagues who were lower on the career rung were easy to buy off through intermediaries. For such a well run office, it was pretty easy to keep an eye on her. It's unfortunate that it's impossible to bug her office. I would love to be able to hear her getting bitched out by her higher ups.

And that's just what was happening right now. Nathan Reed was standing in front of Lilah's desk, looking down on her. "I know that you lost your coworker recently, Lilah, but that's no excuse as to why you're falling asleep in meetings and forgetting important information."
