Re: Elliot & Luke - Cookout
"Here's hoping that don't happen man." Luke offered Elliot a fist bump with the words. He'd never been to war himself, he was thankful for that, and he had respect for those who had gone to war, he'd seen how it'd changed his friends from high school to college after he'd come back from modeling. Seen the pain and war in their eyes, how it'd never fully left them, even if they had left the land it happened in.
A belly laugh couldn't be helped at Elliot wanting to avoid politics of shit like that, he could respect it. "Sounds 'bout as exciting as getting my boys waxed when they want me to come guest judge or star or some bullshit back in Europe." It didn't happen often, but every once in a while they liked the pull the old models out for one thing or another.
Luke nodded along listening to the story. He'd always wanted a family so bad that missing any more than work pulled him away for seemed... well... He had no idea how Elliot could have ever done it but he respected the other man for it considering what he'd missed the time for. "Sounds like the best any dad can hope for." There was sincerity in the words as well as Luke would offer Elliot a smile.
"No idea where she's gotten to, you know her, always up to something."
