She knew he was coming. The girl had been peeking for him for most of the evening. Jade knew he didn’t care about getting there exactly on time and that didn’t bother her in the least. She’d managed to stay out of the way of people seeing her until he got there. This outfit was more for him than it was for anyone else. When he was finally coming up the walk, she was the one who opened the door, pleased he was alone and there were no other frat brothers with him to see her new dress.

“Hey, baby. Nice toga,” she murmured, standing under the porch light like it was a spot on a stage and posing with her hands on her hips. ( Yeah, she knew she was rocking it better than Carrie Fisher and her slave outfit in Return of the Jedi. )

Wanting to do something nice for his girl, planning on taking her out before classes started on Monday, Max got himself a shower and got dressed and headed over to the sorority. Getting let in by one of the girls, he went up to Jade's room and knocked lightly on the door, the lilies he'd gotten for her held in front of him. Maybe she'd already be up and they could get going and doing something fun.
