Who: Seiko, Kou. Possibly open later?
What: Recovery.
Where: Shopping district.
When: Post-dungeon, before beach.
Why: Paradise is scary.

Paradise had been warm - Iburi's summer had reflected itself in Keiichi's mind, causing Kou to think that it was because winter saw more discontent, which was something Keiichi's shadow smashed with ridiculous names as much as water pumps, pepper spray and then live ammunition. A few people passed by in the window, but the mobile phones and palmpads kept his attention and distracted it from thinking about Paradise. Routinely he would find this spot after each visit and convince himself time had stopped as he stared through the glass. He would not have to worry about returning, nor how close they often came to their end.

He looked at a touchscreen and wondered if they had it in black. Occasionally he would move away to the window next door, flipping open his phone and rubbing gently at its crystal screen, cycling through his messages that all came from the same few people.

Paradise was something they needed to be careful about. He was struggling to imagine why they were not going to the heart of the matter and seemed to be waiting for whoever disappeared next. He was alikening it to cancer and - well, he was imagining his mother lying on the hospital bed and looking ill which he thought was at least the reason he kept his sensibilities. He paused for a moment, and then thought he had a lot he owed her, in a way.

He half-bowed his head, folded his arms across his chest, glanced up at the window and then back down again.

Kou pushed his glasses up his nose and stared. He had come here to not think about that but, apparantly, had been cursed with the misfortune of doing so. Life never would return to normal.

"Better that you don't," he said. "Because when it happens to you, you'll have to live with the consequence of nearly killing everyone. Just give that place the respect it deserves. You might emerge at the other end still sane."

Seiko folded her arms and sighed. "Bit hard to not think about it sometimes." she realized maybe this wasn't the perfect spot to discuss it. But she was still new to this place and had already seen things she never wanted to again.

"Yeah I know, I guess its good there are good things to focus on like-" she paused then smiled. "Like you and Kozue-chan!" she grinned at him. Though she had to admit she wasn't really sure why he and Kozue were together, not that she thought it bad, rather they seemed very different people.

"Then don't," Kou said, wishing she would not share it with others. However, as much as people could be predictable, he had learned they were not dependable. He would be happier if they never had to go back to that place.

But to hear his relationship mentioned? He pushed up his glasses, made a small noise, and then shrugged. "That's personal business."
