Kazuya Arai ([info]puppetofhisown) wrote in [info]disappear_rpg,
Kazuya merely allowed the silence to continue for a fair ways, staring forward blankly as he walked. Perhaps he was thinking about something, perhaps not. There was a stiff manner to the way he gripped Toru's hand, although that could have been provoked by his broken finger. Still, his palms were cold and unfamiliar to touch. The heavily scarred flesh was cragged to the grip, and not very pleasant to touch. Altogether, the entire hand holding would have been uncomfortable for Toru.

Yet, he broke the silence after some time, speaking abruptly: "I had a dream, last night." His voice was a quiet, yet chilly thing. "The phone rang, in the next room over. When I got up, and picked it up.. A strange thing happened. A voice on the other side, that I could barely make out.. It was one of the most terrifying sounds I have ever heard. It demanded I do unspeakable and horrible things to the people I cared about." His eyes took on a glassy look, for a moment. Almost as if he were re-experiencing it.

Yet, he broke through that malaise to speak again. "Dreams are strange, no?" He turned his head fully to smile at Toru in a manner completely contradictory to the one he had told the dream in.
