It was only 10am but Suzuki Suzume, big sister and/or energetic bane of everyone everywhere, had been up since 5. Which had, of course, likely been horrible for her roommate.

She'd sent out constant text messages since 7, with 'how to get there from pretty much anywhere in Iburi using public transport' instuctions, and arranged for Seiko to drive people who might have trouble with the train. She'd been trying to barter the entry prices down since 8, since they were a big party, and managed to get at least a small discount. After which a 'hey, say you're with Suzusuzu-nee and you'll get in cheaper' message went out. And she'd been blowing up and tying balloons since 9.

And now it was 10. And the park was open. And she'd been doing stretches and encouraging those who were there early to do likewise (warm up those muscles! The water might be cold!).

And now it was time to reap the rewards of her efforts.

Kozue in a swimsuit.

Awesome.

"Well I've seen you play in gym, and you're a lot better then the other girls, and you seemed to be doing better then I ever could when you were playing on the court so...I think you're a good player. I mean the fact that you even go there and play, it shows you have dedication, you know." Misaki smiled at Kozue and splashed some water around.

"Well I guess, but you don't want like," Misaki looked over at some skeevy looking college guys watching them, and lowered her voice, "Boys like those over there looking at you, do you? They're giving me the creeps."

Kozue had sat down by now, and was dipping her feet in the water—aaah, refreshing, so cool—and was sort of half-listening to what Misaki was saying. Something about being a good player and dedication, both of which were either hefty misunderstandings or utter bullshit. But Kozue wasn't in the mood to argue with her pink-haired teammate—Misaki arguments never went anywhere and always left her feeling worse than she had to begin with.

She did follow Misaki's glance to the college boys, more out of curiosity than anything else, and, "Oh! Hey! Mitsunaga-san!" She called across the pool deck, and waved, and then made a telephone-like motion near her cheek, mouthing call me!

"I'm sorry, Misaki-san, what were you saying about them?"

	Misaki looked worried when the boy waved back and seemed pleased that she motioned to him. "Ah...that is...um...well...don't you think he's a bit old for you Kozue-chan?" She splashed around the water, "I mean, they look a bit, I don't know, like the sort of people that could take advatage of a person, even if they didn't want to." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Kozue slipped into the pool, keeping her sunglasses securely on her face for the time being. "You don't even know how I know them," she pointed out. The pool was chilly and exactly what she needed after sitting in the sun for an hour or so. Wonderful. She paddled around slightly, and then looked back up at Misaki. The girl's face looked a bit different—Kozue took a moment to place the change. Aoi wasn't wearing her contacts, so her eyes were her natural brown.

Kozue turned away, so as not to stare.

	"Is something wrong Kozue chan?" Misaki asked slipping into the water, it was chilly but the body heat made it easier to deal with as she tredded water for a bit. "Oh, I'm sorry if I offended your friends. It's just...I don't know...my brother always tells me to stay away from college boys." She smiled, "Come on, want to swim some?" 	"A little," Kozue said, putting a hand to her sunglasses to make sure they were still in place—underneath them she, too, was absent color contacts and was very uninterested in revealing that. Misaki smiled some in a sad way, "Yes that's the natural color. I...am not a big fan of them. They look like everyone elses. I actually like Kanaye-senpai's eyes. They're really pretty, like the color of the sky honestly."

She looked a bit suprised at the comment that her brown eyes were pretty, "You really think so? Why? They're just brown, like tree bark or dirt even."

	She sunk a bit deeper into the pool. "Oh, well, that's just personal taste. You probably shouldn't go around comparing brown eyes to dirt all the time, though, since a lot of people have them." Herself not included. But Misaki didn't need to know that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"I guess so, Chocolate then, it probably sounds better. You don't like his eyes?" Misaki asked her curiously. "I always thought they looked good on him." She swam around a bit to get used to the water, "Seems to be a lot of people from the group. By the way, I was wondering, are you and suzume-nee going to be leading the cheers?"
