WHO: Kanaye, Seiko
WHAT: Advice
WHERE: Her dorm
WHEN: Before Keiichi is shadowfied.
WHY: Because I want threads. Because Kanaye wants advice and Seiko is better then Kozue when it comes to things that are not sex.


Kanaye didn't even bother dressing up. He doubted anyone would care if he got spotted in the girls' dorms, especially considering he sent a text to Maeko (Am going to go to the girls dorms in order to ask Seiko for advice on what to do. If people say they saw me, I was there, and that is the reason I was there. I haven't given up on you that quickly). He simply walked up to a girl and asked where Seiko's room is. Given Seiko is very infamous, most people would know where her dorm is, right? And even if not, he'd find someone eventually.

After a bit of asking, he did find out. He walked over to the correct dorm and knocked on it twice. "Seiko-chan? It's Kanaye. I have stuff I need to ask you about..."

Seiko was, or had been infamous so most people indeed knew where her dorm room was, including people who didn't even go to the school, but that was irrelevant.

Seiko was sprawled on her bed in jeans an a tee shirt with her hair tied back, reading a textbook, she bounced up when she heard the knock on the door. Flinging her book onto her roommates temporarily empty bed she went to the door and yanked it open.

"Oh hey Kanaye!" Seiko exclaimed brightly. "What can I do for you?"

"Oh, hey, Seiko-chan!" Kanaye smiled at her. "It's, um, kind of private, so can I come in? I-I mean, if you're comfortable with that!" Kanaye said quickly, blushing. "We-we could go somewhere else, instead! L-Like my dorm room!" Kanaye blushed some more. "...That didn't come out right. I just need to talk with you, ok?"

Seiko laughed as Kanaye flailed. "Come on in." She said pulling him in. "I mean Tom-san has already been in here and I know you better than him. Its no big deal its just a room."

She bounced into the room and plonked herself on the edge of the bed. "Okay hit me, what is the problem Kanaye?" she asked calmly looking over at him.

Kanaye blinked. "Did Tom break into your room, too? He really needs to stop doing that..."

And then he realized that he was in a girl's dorm room. A girl he found attractive. He blushed some more, but sat down next to Seiko anyway. "...I..."

"...It's about Maeko-chan. We were together, and we broke up. But then she said she might get back together again, but she might not. She doesn't even know what she feels about me. I still love her, but..." Kanaye looked at the floor. "...I don't know if I can wait."

"Break in? No he knocked." Seiko looked confused for a moment. Then shrugged as clearly her friend's problems were the more pressing thing here.

Seiko listened quietly to Kanaye. "Well, if you love her, why is it you can't wait, is there something else to this?" she looked at him. "She went from being angry at you to possibly wanting to be with you again, that means it is getting better, or at least it has the potential to be better!"

"...Well, he's learning."

"...I...I..." Kanaye started tearing up. "...I...I...don't..."

"...She'll leave me again. I know it!" Kanaye was getting hysterical. "I should just give up and just find someone I could just fuck so I can stop being so hormonal and..."

He started crying.

Seiko patted him gently on the shoulder. "If she is serious about being with you again that means she will have thought about it seriously, really considered how she feels. If it happens Kanaye then it means she really does love you."

She continued to pat his shoulder but frowned slightly. "Kanaye take it from me, finding someone to just have mindless sex doesn't heal your problems, I tried that for two years, didn't go well." she handed him a tissue, hoping he'd not get too embarrassed about her seeing him cry like this.

"...But it won't happen. She won't come back. And if she does, it won't be for long." Kanaye said softly. "No one loves me. I can't blame them..."

"Yes, it will. I'll just fuck some random person I barely know and have dad set up an omiai when I get out of college. Perfect plan. Then she can't leave me..."

He took the tissue and stared at it. "...Please don't leave me, Seiko-chan..." Kanaye pretty much tackle-hugged Seiko, wrapping his arms around her and laying his head on her stomach (even in his current state, he realized that using the more comfortable option would be a bad idea.)

"Maeko-san will do whatever she has to, but I remember when I first met her. She was so excited about you, so quick to jump to your defense." she replied honestly.

Seiko's feelings on 'random person sex' were difficult to express, because of course she understood it but that didn't mean she thought it was healthy. "You don't really want that Kanaye, its not a very satisfying way of doing things."

Seiko jumped slightly at the tackle-hug, but being someone who frequently grabbed people to hug them she didn't pull away or get angry.

"Don't be stupid I won't leave you, we're friends." She was almost insulted he thought she'd was capable of leaving, of abandoning him. "I'm sticking to you like glue til the end."

"...But I messed up. I hurt her...I always do." Kanaye sobbed some more.

"I don't care. I can't get hurt anymore. I get to enjoy it and I don't get hurt. Isn't that great? I-I..."

"...You really mean it?" Kanaye looked up at Seiko, honestly shocked. "Of course you don't. But..." Kanaye started what can only be described as crawling up Seiko, slowly grabbing onto her body and pulling himself up. Then, he looked at her slowly, and hugged her again, putting his head on her shoulder. "...A lie's good enough for me."

"We all mess up Kanaye, Hell I'm proof of that. But we move on we try to change." she said patting his back comfortingly.

Seiko pulled an almost irritated expression for a second not out of real anger but hurt that her compassion was being questioned, "Kanaye if I say it I mean it. Do you remember me ever lying about anything before?"

Seiko blinked a few times as Kanaye pulled himself up to her shoulder, reminding herself he was very upset so he probably wasn't grabbing her on purpose, at least not in that sense. "Why would I lie? I don't get anything from lying, I really do just want to be your friend."

"So? I'm just gonna mess up and hurt her again. And we'll just keep hurting her until nothing is left and..." Kanaye was pretty much yelling by this point. Given he was still clinging to her, it probably hurt.

"I wouldn't know! If you were lying you wouldn't tell me you were lying! It's kind of the point!"

"I don't know. You want my money? Maybe you want to have sex with me? You could just ask! I'm hot! I know that!" Kanaye let go and started fumbling with his shirt. "I could do that! I'll do whatever you want! Just don't leave!"

Seiko wasn't exactly comfortable in Kanaye's grip, but was too polite to say anything about it.

Seiko stared slightly in shock as Kanaye started shouting then with an unhappy look slapped him just to get him to be quiet because she was fairly sure talking to him was not going to work at all until she got him to stop.

"Listen to me, I do not want to have sex with you, I don't want your money. I want to be your friend, but please don't start trying to take your clothes off suddenly." she said calmly. "Its not very kind for you to say I'm the kind of person who'd leave a friend."

Kanaye stared in shock, his shirt still half off. Did she just slap him? Did she hate him? That'd be refreshing, but then she went on say that she wants to be friends with it. Kanaye was confused. "...No, you don't. I'm whiny, I can't do anything right, I'm a drunk, I...Are you sure you just don't want me to give you my money?"

"Well, you can solve that problem by not actually being my friend."

"I...you..." Seiko struggled for a moment then collected herself. "Kanaye we are friends, that isn't going to change, I'm just asking you to stay clothed and trust me not to go."

Seiko sighed, she really did want to be Kanaye's friend, he was too vulnerable to not attract her friendship. After all she knew underneath he was a good person, and also subconsciously she was drawn to people with problems because she could 'fix' them, worry about them and not herself. Not that she did it on purpose at all.

"Besides how could I hate you for drinking? I was so many times worse."

Kanaye blinked a bit and sighed. He started putting his shirt back on. "For how long, though? A few days? A week? A month? It's going to end eventually. And it'll get worse as time passes..."

Kanaye tugged his shirt and shook his head. "But you changed. Something that I can't do."

"Kanaye you can't always be worrying about those things, because if you are you may end up pushing people away. The only way you can be sure most people won't leave you is by treating them with respect and not doubting them." She sighed. "I don't want to be in another situation where I have to slap you to get you to stop."

Seiko was still a little shocked from the whole 'do you want to sleep with me?' thing. After all she dreaded to think what her response would have been a year ago. She had tried to steer clear of anything like that since she had changed.

"You didn't know me then...if I could change you certainly could. Of course it is hard, but it is possible for anyone."

Seiko lent back against the head of her bed and gave Kanaye an appraising look. "Well I guess sometimes people find you hard to deal with because you let your emotions take over, like how you and Aoi-san fight." She tugged at her hair. "I learnt its best not to rock the boat, not to even go near the boat... " she laughed. "There is a lot of stuff about us that was similar so I get it, really. But I'm not going to stand for you doubting me. Just trust me okay?"

Seiko gave another sigh, "you aren't worthless, I mean you were awesome in practice...even though we died..."

"No not like that, just not trying to hurt people so much, I mean the stuff with Aoi-san is what lead to problems with Maeko-chan. I know she seems kind of-" she paused to think for a moment "odd maybe? But life is too short to spend arguing right?" She patted Kanaye on the shoulder.

"I'm not going to leave, how many times do I have to say that? As long as you don't become a mass murder we are cool okay?"

She laughed at his last comment. "Nah we had Kozue to bring us back! Besides-" she pretended to flex "I'm a beast in combat apparently!"

"Even if they try to hurt you hurting them back can make it worse. It becomes a cycle." she shrugged "I understand why you do it."

Seiko smiled a little at his comment about Misaki. "I haven't met her much, but I think she's just a bit unaware of the world, admittedly she has probably caused a lot of trouble for you..."

She shook her head. "I don't need protecting, I can look after myself, I don't need to rely on people, you don't have to look after me..."

Seiko sighed, she didn't want to argue with Kanaye when she couldn't change his mind or calm him down with disagreeing with him.

"She won't change though, at least not soon I imagine." she shrugged "She probably can't see that there is anything wrong."

"Don't be silly, there are a lot of other things you can do, this fighting stuff, its not what is important in life."
