"Ah, first year, class 1-B. OH maybe you know Satou Kanaye-senpai? He's in 3-B?" Misaki said and gasped. "Oh I'm sorry! I must be keeping you from your food. Please forgive me."

She motioned, "Maybe we can walk and talk?"

Walking and talking. Well, alright then. He really didn't know why she would want to, but he was certainly never opposed to getting to know someone unless he had a good reason to. She was probably just a friendly person. Nodding, he motioned her to follow him as he started in the direction of the vendor.

"Yeah, I'm in the same class. I don't really know him well though. You guys in soccer together?"

Misaki shook her head, "I was the manager, but I don't know if I should do that again this coming semester. Though I don't want to let down Suzume-niichan though. Why do you play sports?"

Suzume-niichan? That struck him as odd, but he wasn't going to ask. "Managing can be fun if you have the time and energy for it," he commented. Not that he had ever managed anything himself, but he knew a few people around school that seemed to enjoy the job even when it was stressful.

He was happy to see that there wasn't really a line once they reached the vendor. It made paying for his takoyaki a quick and easy process. "Anyway, I just figured that might've been how you knew him. I haven't played any sports since my first year." A wry smile formed on his face at the thought. Isao sighed, but then shrugged and took a bite of his takoyaki. Definitely not bad.

"You used to play? What sports if I might...ask." Misaki paused and noticed something moving around Isao for the first time. She stared at it a moment watching the blue butterfly joined by several others until there was a little more over a dozen flying around Isao.

"Ah...Senpai..can I ask you something odd...did you hear about those rumors that were going around the school? About how you can go to a different place if you did?"

"Um. Not soccer. I was in the more gymnastic-y things like dance or whatever. Doesn't really matter now though." He took another bite of his food while waiting for a response, but only found himself raising an eyebrow at her. She paused staring at... something? A bug? It wasn't like they were unusual in the summer, so what was so weird about seeing one flying around? And then she went on about... rumors... of some sort. This girl had short attention span written all over her.

"Go to a different place if I did what?" Frowning, he shook his head at her. "There are a lot of stupid rumors that go around school. I usually just ignore them."

"That is just awesome. I have a lot of respect for dancers." misaki smiled brightly. "they have to have a lot of skill and speed and strenght to do dance all together!"

"Huh? Why doesn't it matter?" Misaki asked him suprised by this. Misaki thought a moment, "well this one is differnt. Hang on, would you come with me please? I promise it's only to the shrine I want you to meet someone there."

Isao wasn't going to bother answering her question about why it didn't matter. She needed to quit switching the subject anyway. He actually took a moment to think on that one. Honestly, he didn't want to wander away from his grandmother too far, but... but no. Now that he thought about it he had told someone he would stop by some shrine and say hello. Not that he even knew the girl he had told that to, but he did know the guy supposedly there that was in his class.

He rubbed the back of his neck, still reluctant about going. Though when it came down to it, he knew he didn't really have any reason to say no. "Sure, why not. I was supposed to go by a shrine somewhere anyway."

"Great!" Misaki said grabbing his hand suddenly and gently leading him through the crowd. "You're okay with running right?"

She gave a light pull as she rushed with him through the crowd. If she was right on her hunch then Masami would help her explain what they were going to have to to the boy.

"The faster we get there, the quicker we can see her. She's really nice her name is Masami-san, she's in second year." Misaki explain as she slowed just a bit and looked around for a quick path to the shrine. She pulled Isao through the crowds, "Sorry to make you hurry. I just don't want to miss her in case she goes home."

Eventually they ended up at the shrine and Misaki looked around. Spotting Masami finishing up some work she waved to her and called out, "Masami-chan! I'd like for you to meet someone!"

With no other real task that needed attending to, Masami was busying herself sweeping the shrine grounds. Obon was one of those holidays that brought people to the shrines, but it wasn't as bad as, say, new years by any stretch.

Masami turned when she heard Misaki call her name. "Oh, Aoi-san. What is it?" she asked.

Masami-chan, this is Isao-san," Misaki said leading Isao over to Masami. She stood up closer to the second year and smiled, "He's in Kanaye-senpai and Tom-kun's year."

With that she lowered her voice adding, "And apparently he has a issue wiht butterflies."

She casually waved her hand in a way that wouldn't seem obvious to Isao, but to Masami it was clear she was indicating the blue butterflies that were around the third year, "If you see what I mean? I met him at the festival and noticed it when we were talking."

Masami looked to Isao and immediately noticed the butterflies. She barely managed to keep her reaction controlled though, and bowed to hide any surprise that may have shown on her face.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Masami Sakuraba, from class 2-B," she greeted.

Why would you bother asking someone if they were okay with running if you were going to force them to run? Isao was surprised when she grabbed his hand and started pulling him forward, but there was little time to complain about it before they reached their destination. He really didn't understand why him meeting this person was so crucial, but... well whatever. She must've just been excited.

Isao gave a silent wave when Misaki introduced him to the other girl. Being pulled around by a new acquaintance to meet another new acquaintance wasn't that bad until she pointed out something odd. Wait, what? An issue with butterflies. Yeah, that's exactly what she said. With a curious frown, he looked around himself. What the craaaaap? There were definitely a few questions here that he should've been asking, but wasn't going to. It was probably best if he ignored it.

"Yeah, nice to meet you too. Like she said, I'm Shimohama Isao in 3-B," he finally replied, giving a slight bow himself. "You're the juice girl, right?"

"...Juice girl?" Masami asked, "I'm not sure what you mean. I umm... I usually drink tea, if that's what you meant?"

She wasn't entirely sure what she thought of Isao yet, but juice girl? Where had he come up with that? Well, at least he introduced himself properly; Misaki hadn't even given her a surname to work with.

She wanted to try to keep things natural for now. "Are you two enjoying the festival? I was just finishing up. I have the rest of the festival time off so I was thinking of looking around a bit. Maybe going... somewhere else," she said, directing a glance at Misaki at the end.

"Oh, umm... Sorry, I mean the comment about the prune juice on the journal thing," he clarified with a slightly apologetic grin. "If you remember.... or if that was even you. I'm just assuming."

He had to think about whether or not he was really enjoying the festival though. Well, yeah, he guessed he was. He was still just sort of there and now he was just being pulled around by a girl who was practically a stranger rather than his grandmother. But that was fine. He wasn't sure about Misaki, but he had no real complaints. Not really sure of any other way to explain it though, Isao held up his snack. "Sure. The takoyaki's good." Taking a bite of one of them, he pondered a better answer. "I've just been sort of wandering around though. Is there anything around worth seeing that you guys would recommend?"

Misaki nodded to Masami with a nod, then grinned at Isao, "Well there is a cool place that we learned about just recently. If you'd like to come with us Shimohama-senpai, we'd really appricate it."

"Well, I do know of something, umm, worth seeing," Masami said with another glance to Misaki, "if you're interested."

Would've helped better if he actually had other juice, but he nodded anyway. Then his question on where to go was met by a non-discriptive somewhere worth seeing, but nothing more than that. ....Why did something about this seem... not good-ish? Their lack of description and nods toward one another bothered him if only because this would be the part of the horror movie where they led him to a dark cave to off him.

Naturally, that was not very likely, but he didn't bother hiding his confused expression. "Uh. Okay?"

"Awesome," Misaki grinned and looked at Masami, "Do you think we can use the shirne for this? Or should we just go to noodle alley?"

Glancing over at Isao Misaki looked at him seriously, "Senpai, tell me, what would you say if I told you a story about a rumor that if you turned the handle of door at a certain time you can go to a totally different world?"

"We can't get there through the shrine," Masami replied, "So it'd be best to go through Noodle Alley."

"You'll see when we get there, Shimohama-senpai."

Misaki nodded, and grinned, "Although we have to warn you that it can be a bit different when you first see it."
