Kanaye shook Maeko off sadly and smiled at her again. "Sorry, but I really should get going. Bye, Maeko-chan!" He waved and promptly walked off.

Kanaye was already gone before She could think of a response to that and Maeko was unable to see him beyond the crowds.

She took the cat and headed back home.
