Who: Misaki and Open
What: Needs to be cheered up
Where: Sitting outside the dorms on a bench
When: After finding the box and the note in the trash
Why: Because she feels down.

Misaki's fingers played with the ribbon on the box as she sat back wiping tears with the back of her wrist. She didn't know what to do. She just wanted to talk to Maeko, even if it meant not being friends with her, she could take that. Just so they could be civil and Maeko didn't go running off when she saw her. Was that so much to ask.

She sniffled some, and sighed. She had to wonder if word had gotten around the school about this and if people hated her for it. No doubt, in her mind, they did. Crying wouldn't get her anywhere, but it felt better then ignoring the fact that she was in pain emotionally.

Placing the box beside her she took some deep breaths to relax and then laid on the bench to think. Maybe the warm light could give her some help. She closed her eyes, and drifted off to a light napping sleep.

Misaki blinked, he was getting all worked up over this? Why? She thought of how to explain it, "I didn't say that, I mean you shouldn't go getting worked up over missing his name. I mean, you should try to say Sagaki, but it's okay if you miss say it. It happens to people all the time. That's all I'm saying."

She hoped he would understand that and then Misaki shrugged, "If you say so. So can I ask what got you into the horror books?"

"i-i'm not getting worked up about it. i didn't even mention it." Seiji was alternating between high-pitched fast speech and mumbling.

"there aren't many other books with zombies in."

Misaki looked at him gently and put up her hands, sweatdropping some, "Seiji-kun calm down. You're going to hyper ventilate. Just take a deep breath and relax. You're starting to worry me."

"Well there is this really fun book I heard of called 'Pride, Predudice and Zombies.' It's supposed to be very good," Misaki suggested. "Although it's a bit weird since it takes a very old book and mixes it with new information about the family being a bunch of Zombie Hunters way in the past."

Seiji calmed down maybe a little too much when instructed to. When he next spoke his voice was monotone, barely audiable mumbles.

"i read that. it wasn't really very good."

"Ah, Seiji-kun, you don't have to be that calm like you're about to dift off to sleep," Misaki laughed some and smiled.

"Oh, well then um what have you read that you liked?"

"um, i like ones where you choose what happens next like in this one. it's like it's really you getting your spine eaten by zombies what you're still alive"

"Ah...that's rather um creepy! Um...isn't there any way to read it where you don't get eaten?" Misaki askedd weakly.

"in one of the endings you get turned into a zombie and eat your dog?" Seiji said semi-helpfully.

"That's um...ah..." Misaki was drawing a blank. he said it with such a straight face. "Ah...well is there any endings in any books where the monster is beaten and you don't turn into a zombie, or die, or get eaten, or something?"

She had to wonder if the person writing this was just on some sick kick.

"not really." Seiji said, shrugging. "they'd be kind of boring, don't you think?"

"Well not really. I tend to like happy endings to storied because there's a lot of sad endings in real life. You hear about it in the new news papers, people getting killed all over the world, for silly reasons. Like fights and such. To me it doesn't help to have sad endings in movies or books." Misaki said softly.

"but the sad endings help you get used to it. the more bad stuff happens, the less induvidual bad stuff matters."
