Why: Trainwreck syndrome

Peppers! And love! And more peppers! All of these things and more (more peppers!) went into Suzume's lunches. Summer was a great time for cooking! And practice! And BBR! And now she was trying her hand at boxing classes, too! Summer homework was, of course, being left into the last few days.

But for now cooking! She had dashed around the dorms handing out bowls of pasta salad with lots of peppers, met with various amounts of gratitude and annoyance and who is this girl who is running in the hallways and feeding me? or ugh, not her again.

And so she came to the door of her newest project. She'd left him be for a while because it seemed he was working on something important but today she had made a special meal and he was going to eat it!

She knocked loudly on the door, grinning like a cheshire cat. "Ishinomori-kun!~ Dinnertime!~"

	Peppers! Being eaten! It always made Suzume happy when that happenned. "I knew it!" Germs! Her mortal enemy! The other one, at least, after gravity! "It's fine! 	"Yeah, yeah! I know right? I'm, like, dumb enough to be invincible!" She knocked her knuckles against her head for effect. Suzume was difficult to insult. "I'm not really shouting. "No, you're dumb enough to die stupidly for someone that doesn't even care about you." Kanaye's voice was starting to get emotion now. In this case, it was pure, unadulterated rage. "You just think you're invincible."

"I didn't JUST drink a lot." Kanaye sighed. "Fine, if I need water, get me some water. I'm not moving." As if to illustrate the point, he threw himself onto the bed. He was disappointed that he missed. He's always wanted to fly...

Suzume blinked. That was a weird thing to say out of nowhere. "That's a dumb thing to say. The only people I'd die for are, like, my family. And they'd all care. So there!" She considered blowing a raspberry but that was too childish even for her. She did, however, pull a face.

"So you drank while you were sick? You shouldn do that, you know-" She was cut off by Kanaye jumping onto...the ground. Um. If she were anyone else she might have been rendered speechless.

"Hey what? Are you okay? Is it gravity again?"

Suzume was used to insults. They happenned when you had so many little brothers and sisters, all of them in their teens. They generally happenned when you refused to stop trying despite not being all that smart. They certainly happenned when you were the only one on the girls' team who was serious and so you somehow were assumed to have lost something of your femininity as a result.

So she didn't care.

"You shouldn't be fine with it. Being sick's bad."

She sat on the floor near Kanaye. "What is it? I'll help."

"Well, fun and interesting are kind of different words, yaknow? I mean, it's hard to have boring fun, but things can be interesting without being fun. Like getting shot at! It's very interesting but I doubt it's much fun." Kanaye shrugged.

"Fine then. I completely messed up with my girlfriend and now she hates me. What's more, I can't even make it up to her because I have no idea what to do about it and everyone I know just wants me to just leave her some space, but I can't do that because..." she tried to kill herself. Kanaye growled. "I just can't, ok?"

"I..." A sob. "Just..." Another sob. "Can't..." He started crying.
