Who: Seiko, Kanaye.
What: Post-Paradise drinking.
When: Evening-ish?
Where: Bar, sneaking in is fun!
Why: Because shock requires alcohol.

Seiko sat at a table in a bar clinging to a drink and resting her chin on her hand. This had been one of the craziest days she had ever had. She had been thrown into a room, given a headache so bad she had wanted to die, oh and discovered she could summon some kind of Goddess with her phone. Totally normal, plus it turned out some of her class mates also had this power and were some kind of Superheros. At least she knew a few of them, and it was kind of Kanaye to come out to drink with her. She wasn't a binge drinker anymore of course, but some events made old habits come back temporarily...

	Kanaye took a swig of his drink and laughed. "This stuff is great, isn't it?" he asked, still somewhat sober. "Seriously. I mean, it's not world-class or anything, but it's good enough for a quick nip with friends." He finished off his drink and asked for another one. He turned to Seiko with a confused expression. 	Seiko shrugged. "It isn't about denying yourself, it is about balance." she shrugged and lent back. "Being in the second year helps, none of them were really around when I drank, smoked and...well a lot of stuff." she swigged down her drink. "Still it has left me with an iron liver!" Seiko laughed. "I've had more practice at it that you young one!"

She finished her drink and thought for a moment, could she really justify this? She was trying not to get off her face drunk anymore...but she really did want to stop thinking about that crazy world for a while.

"Pah you'd never have kept up with me back then, I did everything." she raised an eyebrow. "And unfortunately anyone."

	Kanaye laughed. "Yeah, right! I've been drinking since I was 10!" he shouted proudly. Kanaye shrugged. "Um, so? I have friends that do drugs and smoke, and one of my best friends is Kozue-san, in the first year. I don't exactly care. I'd probably be doing the same if I wasn't attached to Maeko-chan." "Didn't your parents notice at all?" she asked grabbing another drink and laughing just a little.

"Ah you don't want to go near drugs Kanaye-kun, they melt your brain." she pointed to her head.

"I mean it is harder for me to study because of what they've done, its not much of a picnic. The drinking though...pah that still has some fun..."

She thought for a moment. "How come Maeko-san doesn't mind you coming out drinking with me?"

Kanaye smirked. "A couple of years later, and by then I was far too gone. I tried quitting a few times, but it's never stuck."

Kanaye smiled. "I don't know, I don't think my brain can get any worse. It looks like fun, anyway. And I never study anyway. It doesn't seem to be a problem."

He blinked, and looked at Seiko oddly. "Why would she have a problem with it?" he asked earnestly.

"Everyone's brain can get worse, besides you aren't stupid...just a bit unmotivated. Pah I kind of need to study, now Dad isn't really working as a super high flying business man I'll have to make my own way in the world..." She waved her hand emphatically to make her point then sipped her drink.

"Well most girls I know get crazy when their boyfriend is anywhere with another girl, especially a girl who has my previous associations." she pointed out not very subtly.

Kanaye shrugged and drank. "I don't know, I'd say I'm rather stupid AND unmotivated. I'm like a two-for-one deal in horrible personness. Studying is overrated, really."

Kanaye laughed. "Nah, Maeko-chan knows I would never cheat on her. I mean, if she was fine with it, then I'd totally do it, but I don't really think of asking her. It's probably no, anyway. We haven't really done much ourselves."

"Nah not stupid, just..." she gestured with her drink. "You don't try to think, so you believe you can't sometimes. Ha it is okay for you to say, some of us need it to make a living..."

She took a mouthful and raised an eyebrow. "I don't think Maeko is the kind to be 'fine with it' besides even when you are with her you'd be okay with being with someone else?" she grinned.

"Man you and the old me...very similar." she lent back in her chair. "So you are waiting for her?" she asked thoughtfully.

Kanaye blinked. Then nodded. "Thinking is ALSO overrated. I mean, all the bad people in the world? They think about things. And the mean people, and the sad people! So not thinking makes you happy!"

Kanaye drank another shot. "You have a point. Oh, I didn't mean romantically. She's the only one for me romantically. I meant, in a physical sense, if she was fine with it."

Kanaye shrugged. "Yeah. If she wants to do it, she wants to do it. If she doesn't, she doesn't. I won't pressure her."

"Well I do understand that, I mean, I never let myself get miserable, or worried or anything, because it is just overthinking pointless things! Why even bother with it after all?!"

She nodded along as Kanaye spoke. "I've come to the view that that kind of stuff should only be done romantically." she shrugged. "I mean, its something special."

She took another sip of drink. "Ah aren't you just a Knight? Most guys don't think like that at all...mind you I didn't either for a while..."

Kanaye nodded happily. "Exactly! Over thinking leads leads to being sad. Being sad is never fun. Everyone should lay back, get a couple of beers, and have fun! It'd certainly help with this world." Kanaye, satisfied with his lecture, proceeded to finish off his drink and ask for another.

Kanaye laughed. "Uh huh, right. I'm sure it's more special with someone you love, but you need practice, right? I don't want to disappoint Maeko-chan. I don't think she's had sex either, but still."

Kanaye bowed. "Well, I have a gift."
