To Students in 1-B, and others in 2-B and 3-B. I, Aoi Misaki, am here offering a once in a life time chance for a free Yukata for the Tanabata festival in the comming days. Anyone who wants one please drop off colors, themes and designs that you might prefer for your Yukata in the small drop box outside Room 1-B.

It seemed a bit like taking advantage, all things considered. Asking Misaki, already in a fragile emotional state, to slave away over free clothing for people she didn't even really know? That was probably what'd happen with this "anyone request a yukata!" thing.

But when had Kozue ever balked at taking advantage before?

This was the note that she dropped in the box, during lunch:

Are you sure? I mean, if you have time and you don't get swamped with other people's clothing—I really like hyacinth and lily designs, and I look better in cool colors—but only if you're totally sure—and I wear a small size.

Renju paused by the announcement. Truth be told, she only had one yukata, and that was one of the cheap striped ones you could buy anywhere; a custom-made one was something she couldn't really afford, and didn't want to pass up.

The note that went into the drop box was formally written in a small, neat hand, and full of kanji even when they weren't strictly necessary--it was about as much of a contrast to the other note in the box as one could find.

Aoi-san,

I would like a yukata with lotus designs, ~~preferably in red~~ in whatever color you think is best. I wear a small size.

Yoshimi paused at the announcement. True, she had her own yukata, some cute and conservative little number that still fit her from middle school (she briefly cursed stupid puberty and its stupid failure to give her any curves). The only problem with the aforementioned yukata was its unfortunate tendency to remind her of one Furukawa-senpai, who she'd quite hoped to attend Tanabata with this year.

Maybe a fresh start would do me good...?

She gave a thoughtful little 'hmmm' and started writing out a note.

'Aoi-san,

I'd like one if you have time (^.^);; Maybe something with greens and pinks?' The black and blue pattern gathering dust in her closet looked great on her, but she needed something new - maybe something fresh, something that said springtime. 'Floral patterns are great!

Toshimi only had one yukata, which had been a hand-me-down from a neighbor about four years ago. Even if it would still fit her, it was back in Yutagoro-cho, and she wouldn't have been surprised if her mother had handed it down to another neighbor in town by now in exchange for something else.

She wasn't really sure what Misaki's angle was (weren't there exams to be studying for?), but she also loved getting free stuff. She wrote a note for the drop box:

Aoi-san,
Your yukata offer is so generous! ^_^ I would love the chance to wear one of your yukata to the festival, if you have time. Please just use whatever fabric is most convenient for you.

Is there anything I can do in return? Please let me know!

Anything that's appropriate for girls our age is just fine. ^_^ Light colors are better for the summertime, right? If you need ideas...maybe something with spirals?
But please don't go out of your way. ^_^ I would really prefer if you did whatever was best for you.
