If nothing else, Maeko was stubborn. Given the circumstances she could probably have been forgiven for not showing up at school or work the day after all of that. But the one thing she really had to build on if she intended to fix anything at all was being a hard worker. If she wasn't working hard she didn't really have much at all.

She'd not been a great deal of use during her shift. Her excuse to Ishino-sensei and the school nurse for the state of her hands had involved claiming she'd had an alegic reacton to a soap and scratched them up in her sleep. Apparently the solution to that was the medical equivelant of mittens and now she could hardly move her hands at all. Still, she'd tried her best. She just had one more thing to do. Apologizing.

She pulled her coat on over her uniform, less because it was cold and more to avoid the other staff assuming she was still on duty, and knocked on Kanaye's door quietly.

"Senpai, are you in?"

	Kanaye smiled again. Really, he just had the best thing in his life to happen to him. And he's talking about a completely different girl. Ah well, you win some you lose some. "Alright, Maeko-chan. 	Maeko smiled and nodded. She attemped to squeeze Kanaye's hand but oh yeah, bandages. "Thanks. I'll talk to her about it soon, then." She paused, looking around. "Is it okay to stay here just a bit longer?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Kanaye's face broke into an honest smile. This really was the best day of his life. "We can stay here as long as you want, Maeko-chan." he said softly into her ear. He leaned on her softly. (Reply to this) (Parent)
