Who: Kozue and SOME OTHER PEOPLE
What: Lollygagging, lazing, and general doing-nothing-isms.
Where: The School.
When: After School on the day of Friendship Loudspeaker Speech.
Why: It's 2AM and I feel like being in more threads is why.

There really was no other word for it: the day had been exciting. Between Misaki's hijacking of the school intercom, the interlude in the bathroom with Yoshimi, and the number of times people had asked her if she was really still dating Ito, seriously, that Ito from the cooking club with the crazy father? Still? The reasons that friends and acquaintances came up with were actually kind of amusing, when they weren't downright insulting—she'd actually pondered intervening on Keiichi's behalf in a few particularly bad conversations, but… Well, those conversations were over now, anyway.

She was relieved that Tennis Wrestling Club wasn't meeting today—it meant she had the whole afternoon free. Or, nearly free: she'd probably get roped into moving the last of Ayako's things out of the room. Ayako hadn't been entirely amused to see that new boxes were already being brought in, but… she was the one leaving, what was she going to do about it? And the prospect of a quiet guilt trip from her soon-to-be ex-roommate meant Kozue was quite happy take her time heading back to the dorms.

For instance, she hadn't even gotten to the shoe lockers yet.

She decided that she could probably stretch this out indefinitely, if she couldn't find some other, better amusement.

Toshimi's day had been all right. Misaki's speech worried her in that it drew attention (and thereby suspicion) to their group. Although they were officially a club now, Toshimi still felt it wise for them not to be in the public eye as a group. Either way, she was already trying to forget that speech had happened. It was no business of hers, after all.

There was no Baseball Wrestling Club meeting that day either. On the days when Ito-sensei didn't show up and they played regular baseball, it was fine. When he did show up, though...Toshimi shook her head and stopped to read a poster hung up in the hallway to distract herself. With that out of the way, she continued onward. There was no practice, she was ahead in most of her subjects, she'd just finished reading through a coding book...even with all these factors, Toshimi would have normally just gone back to the dorms for a little television or a computer game.

She didn't have any excuse, really, to still be at the school, but she felt like stretching her legs for a while. She milled about on the first floor, wondering what to do with herself, when she saw Kozue doing apparently the same thing. "Good afternoon, Kondo-san," she greeted politely. "There's no tennis today?"

Oh, look, an other, better amusement!

Kozue glanced up, and nodded, with a very standard, polite sort of smile on her face: "Nawanaka-sempai, hey. No, we don't have practice. Free day. Baseball, too?"

She was staunchly refusing to append Wrestling; it wasn't a Wrestling Club, for goodness sake. Neither was Tennis. Neither had a single thing to do with Wrestling. "How is the team doing?" She asked, while busily trying to think of something to talk to Nawanaka about. The list of things she knew about the girl was awfully short, after all: she was a Persona user, she was in the Baseball Club, and... she wasn't a terrible person. Which did, to be fair, put her in the top 50%, if not 25%, of Persona-Users as far as Kozue was concerned.

Toshimi smiled back at Kozue, "Yes, it's the same for us." She nodded, adding, "It's nice to have the afternoon off once in a while, right? Especially..." She was thinking especially with the whole wrestling idea but didn't say it out loud, because saying it out loud would be somehow acknowledging it. She waved a hand. "Well, you know, this and that." There were a lot of things that made it nice to take a day off; Toshimi certainly didn't need to explain herself. "The team's doing pretty well, thank you for asking."

"How about tennis?" she asked. She knew enough about tennis, but had never really paid it close attention at a high school level--although they all practiced together, it was an individual sport, so was there a 'team' to ask about? "Are there matches against other schools to prepare for, or anything?" Toshi pondered this for a moment before asking, "Do you usually play singles or doubles, Kondo-san?" If the gossip surrounding Kozue was to be believed, Toshimi would have guessed 'doubles', but Toshimi generally didn't put too much stock in gossip. Also, she wasn't sure if it really worked that way.

"Oh, I play singles, but I don't play in matches," she said, shaking her head. "Well, not too often. I am just in First Year, after all. I'm still learning, and my sempai are much better than I am."

Also, they went to practice and practiced consistently, which was far more than Kozue did. It'd gotten even worse since she had joined the Exploration Team: now she had actual things to worry about, as opposed to before, when she was just inspired by laziness to skip or wander off.

And either she didn't notice the doubles double entendre, or it was the kind of thing she was happy to let slide. After all, she'd certainly let Kanaye and Reizo get away with saying worse—and far more explicit—things about her in Paradise. Maybe she actually didn't care.

"So, what are you doing, instead of practice?"

"Uh huh?" Toshimi nodded, listening. "That must be pretty different from baseball..." She smiled, "But I guess that's obvious, right?"

"Um..." She paused. Toshimi hadn't much of a plan for what to do with herself; that was why she was still there, after all. "I'm not really sure," she said with a shrug. "I was sort of in the mood to go somewhere today, I guess...but I can't really think of anywhere." Toshi counted various places on her knuckles as she thought of them. There was the arcade, but she had already spent enough time there recently, and she'd have plenty of chance to spend time there again. There was Sky Park, but without a book to read there she wouldn't have anything to do but look at the scenery. There was the public library, but she didn't want to go until she could return the book she had (which she wasn't carrying at the moment). "Hmm...."

She turned her attention back to Kozue. "What about you, Kondo-san? Any plans?"
