Who: Hamasaki-sensei, whoever. (seperate chains for each person, please~)
What: Just doin' his job
Where: Nanakamado, naturally.
When: School hours.
Why: Because of all the winged asses.

Hamasaki flicked quietly though the papers he was looking through, tapping his pen against the desk as he read. No doubt the girl who had spoken over the PA this morning would be sent down to him once she'd discussed proper behaviour with his colleagues.

He looked up when there was a knock at the door, laying the paprs flat on the desk and placing his pen on top of them.

"Come in."

It was on hearing the voice that Kouchisei opened the door; he'd thumped Reizo in the mouth, and, unsurprisingly, been reprimanded. He didn't flinch as he closed the door behind him. The animal had deserved it. He'd have given him a lot more, besides, were he capable! He went to sit in his regular chair and leaned forward slightly.

"I wonder how many times I can come here without being considered completely insane," he said quietly.

Hamasaki-sensei looked stern when Kou entered. He remembered that a meeting had needed to be arranged over the fight he had started. He'd thought it was tomorrow. Losing track of time from concentrating too hard on other matters, he supposed. His expession softned when Kou spoke and he shook his head.

"I'm sure you can risk it a few more times. I've had a lot more visitors than usual with recent events, you're not the only one."

"I think I know what this is about," Kouchisei said, sounding nervous. It wasn't like he was in an equal position. He brought his hands to his lap and looked away. "I'm afraid to say he deserved it. I don't see what I have to apologise for."

Nobody got away with saying that about his mother.

"You shouldn't just start fights if taunted, Oubai-kun." Hamasaki said, managing not to sound like he'd been giving this conversation at least once per day since he was hired. Or once per day since the start of this year, at least.

"I'd have expected better self-control from you."

Kouchisei's hands clenched together. The space under the desk - the ground, even - was appealing, but the thought of defending his mother gave enough mettle to control his desire to insist Shirai had had it coming.

"Yes, sir. May I be excused?"

Hamasaki nodded. "Of course. Just try to remain calm from now on, don't let it happen again."

"Of course, Hama-sensei!" Kanaye said, loudly, as he walked into the office, grinning like a loon. "How are you today? Anyone I know been here? There's been a bit of trouble lately, so..." Kanaye sighed as he sat down.

Hamasaki shook his head at the nickname, pushing the papers together into a neat pile and placing the pen on top, making sure it lined up perfectly with the top line of text.

"I heard." He said, stating the obvious. It was difficult not to hear the PA system. "I'm afaid I'm not permitted to tell you. The privacy of your peers is important."

Kanaye chuckled. "If you insist, Hama-sensei." he said happily. "Actually, I was just coming here for some general advice..."

Hamasaki nodded, adjusting the pen again. It had rolled and one and was further down than the other and that wouldn't do.

"Ask away, then."

"You see, me and my friends aren't getting along too well lately. We're getting into arguments over what's important, and it's getting to the point where some of us are trying to attack one another. It's rather annoying." he said, nodding. "Any advice?"

Hamasaki paused for a second, taking a paper from the bottom of the pile, the list of names Thomas Sagaki had given to him to let him know who was in the club he'd set up. Kanaye's name was there, sure enough, as were Kouchisei's and Reizo's. He placed the paper down again to adress Kanaye.

"Hmm, is this about Oubai Kouchisei's dispute with Shirai Reizo?" He asked. "I expressed my concerns about the club when Sagaki-kun suggested it to me. Many of the members he recruited do not get along well with others. He seemed to believe that being difficult would allow them to get along better with other difficult people, I'm afraid that is rarely the case. If this is about that club then it's possible many of the members are simply incompatible."

Kanaye gulped and panicked (he forgot about the club) but none-the-less carried on, cocking his head to the side. "What dispute? I never heard anything between Koukun and Reizo. No, this is about some other people. They were fine before hand, but we can't get anything done anymore, and I don't know why."

Misaki came up to the door and knocked once before turning the handle and entering Hamasaki's room.

"Hello Sensei, I...I was told to come down here and see you," she said softly and looked at her shoes. Embaressed beyond belief now and feeling like she was about to hit a wall.

"Um...I...I don't know what to say, Hamasaki-senesei, I...I didn't mean to cause trouble," she squeaked out as she covered her face and felt tears slipping out. Why was she crying now? Becuase everyone was mad at her that was why. She'd just wanted to help, make them see that they could be friends and now they all hated her. She was sure of it.

"I was told." Hamasaki moved the papers to one side in order to dedicate his full attention toward the student. If he recalled correctly she was a member of the club that Sagaki in the third year had created.

"You're a member of Sagaki Thomas-san's club to help problem students to get along better, correct?" He produced a box of tissues from his desk, people crying in this room was hardly a rare occurance, and pushed it toward the student. "The names you mentionned in your speech were also people in that club. Was that part of the club's attempts to help them integrate with thier fellow students?"

Misaki sniffled, "Huh, ah...no not really. I just... I wanted them to get along and stop fighting that's all. They...I...I just get tired of them not liking one another Hamasaki-sensei."

Misaki looked down and balled up the tissue as she wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry Sensei. This is my fault..."

Tom knocked lightly on the door to the guidance councilors office, and peeked his head in.

"Hello? Do you have time to talk to me for a bit Hamasaki... um sense? I wanted your help with something."

Shirou knocked on the door and half-stepped in. He had been sent by the kendo wrestling club to see about arranging its participation in an upcoming tournament, as well as trying to put together a summer training camp. Why this sort of thing wasn't being left up to the Ito-sensei, the club president or maybe Sakuraba-senpai was a mystery to him, but either way he was stuck with the job.

"Hamasaki-sensei? I'm here about the upcoming kendo tournament and summer training camp..."

"It's good to see you again, Hamasaki-sensei..." With their homeroom teacher reminding him of the appointment after classes, it wasn't long before Nayuki found himself sitting inside the Counselor's Office. He had been given the first interview when he transferred into the school, and it was time for a follow-up inquiry. I suppose it's only natural, being the new guy and all.

Seeing the familiar middle-aged man meticulously reviewing his dossier before him felt oddly welcome. He lets the man finish and meet his gaze before starting. "It's been a while since I was last here, huh? I couldn't help but notice how lively this campus can be between classes. I can't say I've gotten used to it all yet, but at least it doesn't put me in a state of panic."
