When: Early afternoon just a while after the announcement
Why: Because Maeko's worried that her little kitty will drown herself in the river.

Breathing wasn't easy at the moment Misaki had discovered, she was trying to kick a lone half deflated soccer ball into the net, hoping, maybe that today was a dream, that this whole thing was some sort of dream that she could wake up from. Maybe if I kick the ball, just once, I'll wake up and Aomori sensei will be here and Sato sensei will be here...and...and all this bad stuff won't be happening.

She brushed the tears from her eyes as she tried over and over. He'd been nice enough to check on her when she had been 'sick', that was Aomori sensei. He cared about such matters, and what had she done, skipped his classes because she didn't want to feel ashamed for not being able to do something as simple as kick a ball! She wanted to throw up. This was supposed to be a happy day...her birthday, the day she turned sixteen! Now all she felt was miserable. A man...no, her sensei, was dead, and all because they couldn't get along. This was there fault. No it was more her fault. Maybe if she had been nicer, or less dependent, Maeko wouldn't be fighting with Satou, and then Keiichi and Shiori wouldn't be having trouble and...

The pink haired girl tried to kick the ball again and again, but the sorry state made it unable to fly, and the muddy ground from early rain had caused the field to be hard to play on. All she manged to do was send the ball a few feet, and make mud fly and spatter with a squicky squelching noise as it hit the ground once more. Her uniform was a mess, as was her face, but Misaki didn't care at the moment. She wondered how the soccer team was going to take it...how the baseball and basketball teams would too. It was...terrible.

Running over to the ball she slipped and landed on her knees in the mud and winced. Picking up the ball she bit her lip and asked it, "Why...Why did this have to happen? Why couldn't we stop it! This wasn't supposed to happen. We're supposed to be good guys, heroes. We're supposed to save people not...not let them die. We...why did we fail? Why give us this when we can't actually do anything with it? Why couldn't we save him..." she looked down at the deflated ball, "Where did we go wrong?"

Kanaye was slightly unnerved by the love for cloth but pushed it out of his mind with a frown. "Why wouldn't you be going to the festival?" he asked. "Even your parents are that bitchy, right?" Even as he said it, he wasn't sure. Her parents did try to make it so she couldn't come to the trip...

Kanaye sighed in relief. "Thanks, Misachan." he said before just looking at her in disbelief. Did...did she not know the rumors? "Do...do you not know the rumors? Even if it isn't true, the believe that it is, so..." he trailed off.

Kanaye frowned again. "What's with the hesitation? Is there something wrong?" he asked, all trace of the usual conversation erased from his mind.

"Oh, no, no they will, it's just, I don't have anyone to go with, and well," she blushed, "I know Maeko-chan will go with me, but I don't want to make her go with me you know...and I don't know if Kiriko-chan is planning to go with others. I'd ask Toru-kun, but he'd be nervous around so many people."

Misaki stared at him blinking, "Rumors? What rumors? I try not to pay attention to those anymore after what happened with Shirai-san. I...I don't want to upset anyone again. What's not true Sempai?"

Misaki looked away, "Nothing. Really." She smiled sweetly, "Just me being silly."

Kanaye just scoffed and smiled. "Trust me Misachan, Maechan would want to go with you. You don't need to make her, yaknow!" he said happily, glad that it was something so easily fixed.

Kanaye facepalmed. This was gonna be fun...

And if you believe that I have a bridge to sell to you. "Both Renju and me have a history of sleeping around. I'm not sure about Renju but I haven't had sex in my life." he said softly.

Kanaye was stupid, but one thing he was good at was knowing someone's emotions. He usually just doesn't care. "Misachan, something is wrong and I'm not letting up until you tell me what it is." he said firmly, glaring somewhat.

Misaki gave him a gentle smile, sure she wanted to go with Maeko-chan, but sometimes it was hard because Maeko had to change plans as her family was going so Misaki found herself wandering around the festival on her own. "You're right I'll ask her and see if she'll come with me, maybe I'll get Kiriko-chan to come too."

Blushing some she scoffed, "Nothing is wrong Sempai, honestly, it's just me being silly. You shouldn't have to worry about such things."

Her eyes went wide and she nearly shouted, "Sonozuki-sempai has had sex? But...she...she doesn't seem the sort!"

	Kanaye smiled at her. Looks like she saw reason. "Well then, we can meet up and show off our new yukatas~!" he said with a tilde. Kanaye still stared. "Not. Letting. Up." He promptly facepalmed. "Shh! I'm an idiot and I do this alot, I meant to say Kozue! Renju's a prude, Kozue is easy!" he shut up before he said something that annoyed Misaki. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

That would be fun, she figured. She supposed that in a way she would enjoy seeing that. But why was she feeling a bit envious of Shiori. She shook her head. It was silly.

"I'm sure that it's going to be a lot of fun and you two will be the king and queen there. No doubt."

Misaki pouted, "Sempai....Really it's just me being a silly girl. You have enough to worry about. You've been so nice."

The Rabbit tilted her head, "Oh...I see...well I don't know Sonozuki-chan all that well, but Kozue-chan is easy to like. And besides that she's nice, I think a lot of people are just jealous of her."

	Kanaye smiled shyly and scratching his head. "Aww, Misachan, your gonna make me blush...!" he said, his happy voice betraying his words. ~~Damn voice.~~ Kanaye kept staring. He was good at that. "Well I mean there's no reason for people to be jealous of her. She's just very nice, I mean there are girl's jealous of Shiori-chan, but I think she ignores them," Misaki explained, or in Shiori's case probably was oblivious to them. Misaki sighed inwardly, she was hanging around Keiichi waaaaaaay to much, and picking up his inner monologing habits.

Grinning happily she giggled some, "You're welcome. I'm glad you're happy about it."

However when he started to stare at her again, her face started to become red, "Sempai...really it's nothing..." she was worried that he was going to make her do something she would regret. "Maybe..we should get these?"

"Well I'm glad that it makes you glad that I'm glad Sempai, though if we keep saying we're glad that we're glad I think we're both going to be tired of using the word glad for a while, don't you?" She smiled at him.

"Ah...Sempai, if I did what I wanted to do it would cause a lot of trouble, and I don't want to do that," she gave him a sweet look. "So it's better if I don't do what I want to do."

She then gave Kanaye a confused look,"Um. Satou-sempai, what's a tail?"

"Indeed. Let's mix it up. Maybe, say, happy? Overjoyed? Mirthful?" he said before he realized that he was technically speaking in Japanese and they probably didn't have so many words that were synonyms of glad, so he just shut up.

Frowning, he said "So you don't want to do what you want to do cause it would cause trouble? Looks like you don't really wanna do it then..." Discarding it, he just kept staring. "Once again. What. Is. Wrong." he said in his best leader voice.

Facepalming, he just finished "It's an expression. It means that she's had so much more sex then anyone else."

"Oh...so I guess that would make Shirai-san a tail as well?" She looked a bit confused and shrugged it off. "Though I don't think Kozue-chan would say that. She doesn't seem to be the type, does she Sempai?"

Misaki giggled brightly, "Well I'm happy that you're joyful as long as your jolly that I'm jubliant."

Misaki flushed and blurted out in a fast comment, "IthinkImightbelikingyousempai!"

	"...Um what? Never mind..." he said, sighing. "She wouldn't say that but she does seem like the kind of person to actually do it." Kanaye smiled. "Let's go with that." Well shit.
