Who: Misaki and Kanaye
What: Talk...Talk...Talk...at least that's where it starts out
Where: Woods not to far from the Tents
When: After the Kings Game
Why: Because she wants to correct the matter about her and Maeko.



Misaki walked quickly ahead of Kanaye, stepping over fallen branches and trying to keep her skirt from getting caught on twigs in the bushes. She pulled off her sweater and tied it around her waist, revealing a string tank top under the simple pink sweater. Glancing back at him she turned and locked eyes with him.

"This is far enough I think," Misaki said and put her hands on her hip. "I want to know why you're always so rude to Maeko-chan? She's just trying to keep me safe. Why is it you and Keiichi-sempai keep acting like she's doing bad things. She is not my girlfriend, I don't like girls like that. Never have, and Maeko-chan doesn't like me like that either. So why are you acting like she does?"

"...You were looking into Tom's desk." Kanaye said in a deadpan. "You see, this is why people think you're stupid, yaknow. And Misaki, you are proving my point about not saying no. You don't...fuck it, I'm sounding like Maeko." he grumbled.

Kanaye mocked gasp. "Oh my god, people DISLIKE IT when you say no to them? Perish the thought. I never knew about it. So WHAT?" he screamed. "Who cares if they don't like you? If someone asked to have sex with you, would you say no?" he asked bluntly. "And as for me? It'd be easier for me to list who actually LIKES me then who doesn't, but do you see ME getting upset? YES, because YOU CAN'T SEE THAT! I'm the one with issues!" Kanaye paused at this, thinking. "Actually, we all have issues. Is being mentally unbalanced a requirement for being a Persona user?"

"Whatever. So sorry I'm not as empathic as you." Kanaye stared at her a bit and then laughed. "Reizo, a nice person? He PUNCHED KEIICHI IN THE FACE. He constantly threatens me..." he started before shaking his head. "Nevermind, let's go to the next one. Kozue? She's had more boyfriends in her first year then I've had girlfriends in my entire life. And who knows what she does with them? She certainly had no problems kissing Keiichi. I've never said she wasn't." Kanaye pointed out before laughing. "You? Little miss "I can't say no because people will hate me so I'll pretend to be a little pink girl so no one asks about it" is lecturing me? That's a hoot."

"Because SHE IS! She...GAH. You'll never believe me anyway. And no, you don't have to convince me. All that's saying as that you may be bisexual anyway. The important question is..." he stopped dramatically before turning to her. "Is MAEKO a lesbian? Are you sure she doesn't have feelings for you?"

"Well I didn't see anyone else trying to find out why it was that he was so interested in Oubai-sempai. And I didn't like the fact that he decided to lie and corner him like he did." She defended herself and shouted, "And don't call me stupid!"

Misaki's face was flushed now and she was trying to keep calm. She hated to be called that, she heard it enough from other people, she didn't need to hear it from him. "I care okay! You don't understand at all! You have people that can like you just for being you. I'm sure you don't have to listen all the time to a family that thinks you're as thick as a brick because you don't want to be what they want you to be..." She wiped her eyes willing herself not to cry. "I don't know...Alright...If I liked them...I might not! I don't know...okay..."She laughed a bit at his pause and sniffed, "I don't know...maybe...I really haven't thought that much about it."

Misaki looked up at him, "It's not being empathic, it's just...I don't like to see people feeling sad, or upset. I want them to be happy. That's all. Is that such a wrong thing?"

She sighed, "He acts that way because...well he likes to show that he's tough...I mean he doesn't act that way at all with the neighbor he has...." Misaki blinked, "He did? Why? I mean...there had to be a reason for it..." Misaki stared at him and blinked, "Okayyyyy so because she's had a lot of boys that she's gone out with, you wern't one of them...so how do you know she DID anything with them? You're just judging on what you see rather then getting to know her."

Misaki crossed her arms, "I'm just telling you the truth!" Her face turned red, "Maeko chan...I don't know if she likes girls or not, but she doesn't like me like that, that much I know! And yes I'm sure of it because if she had don't you think she wouldn't want me around other girls? And for the last time...I like boys! Do I have to show you!" Misaki reached up and grabbed him by the shirt and gave him a kiss. Realizing what she was doing she flushed and let him go covering her mouth. "I...Sempai...I'm...I..."

Kanaye covered his ears. "Then stop acting like you are! I don't care what you say, looking through someone's things is neither smart nor a nice thing to do! And you could have asked someone to come along with you!"

Kanaye chuckled. "So, who likes me for being me? Shiori. That's about it, since you and Toshimi are nice to EVERYBODY. My mother thinks I'm annoying, my father thinks I'm too overconfident, I barely speak to either, my servants have a purl business relationship with me. You're parents ARE assholes, true, but that doesn't mean you have to strive for attention everywhere else!"

Kanaye just glared. "So? Just cause I can't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening. And does everyone tell everything to you when you get to know them? I thought I knew you well enough, but then you go pulling out this 'I need attention and approval. I'm a lost kitten' bullshit on me, and I honestly don't know much anymore."

Glaring at her, he shouted "Well maybe she just didn't-" before she kissed him. His mind boggled. Why did she kiss him? Was it to prove that she wasn't gay? That much was obvious, so why? Pondering these thoughts, Kanaye's brain pretty much broke down. "...Huh?" was all he could say.

"I...I..." trying to get a hold of something she took what he was saying before she kissed him and tried to catch her breath. Thinking slowly Misaki licked her lips, blushing some saying. "Satou-sempai...I'm sorry about that...I..." she paused, "I didn't wind up wanting to be friends with you because I'm nice to everyone. I wanted to be friends with you becuase you seemed like a nice person, and when you were playing soccer it looked like you were really having fun out there."

She pushed some hair behind her ear, "I know Shiori-chan is someone that knows you really well. Yes I'm nice to people, but I don't hang around with people that I don't like, Satou-sempai. I'm not someone who just wants to be around "cool" people, I want to be around you becuase I think you're a very strong person Satou-sempai. I want to know you better too."

Misaki shook her head trying to clear it, "You're family is wrong though feeling that way. It's not fair to you because you should be proud of what you do, you're a great student and you manage to keep the soccer club going strong. That's not something easy to do."

The younger girl looked down, "I'm not a kitten, I'm not trying to pull anything on you. I know that people normally don't tell me things, I'm not looking for approval, I don't care about attention...I just..." She rubbed her arm. Shaking her head she sighed some.

"I'm sorry I dragged you out here," Misaki said quietly..."And I guess...it was a nice kiss."

Confused, Kanaye could barely think straight. He wasn't even aware that Misaki was talking before she was halfway done. "Um...No problem. T-thanks? But...why..?" he asked, head slightly fuzzy. Seriously, what was with that?

Shaking his head to clear it, he continued. "Yeah, she's nice, isn't she? And it was rather obvious you don't wanna hang around the stereotypically cool people." he responded, deciding the best way to react with this is to act as normal as possible. "You hung around with Kei, for one."

"Yes, yes, I know, I know. You're preaching to the choir. You should be dealing with your own problems, not mine." He smiled weakly. "Thanks, Misachan, that means a lot."

"No problem, it was to be expected." he said, somewhat startled. "Uh...thanks, you too. You've had practice?" he asked, smiling.

"I...I don't know...I guess, partly because I didn't want you to think I like girls and partly because.." she gulped and blushed. NO...Nononono, she couldn't say that! It would be wrong. Wrong wrong wrong...she like Shirai-san right? She couldn't...and then...no no no! "I...don't know..."

Misaki laughed some, quietly, "Keiichi-sempai is really special to me. He's my mentor, and my friend. I gues...I want him to be happy with someone, but I know that someone's not me. I just wish he could see that Shiori-chan does like him, you know." She paused and thought, "And Shiori chan should really show off her art work more. I keep telling her that it's amazing. I love working with the patterns that her drawings create..."

Shaking her head some she smiled softly, "But, Sempai, I like trying to help people," Misaki looked at the ground and ran her heel in a small half circle on the ground, "Like I was telling Keiichi sempai, you're not a dangerous or bad person. You're someone I know I can trust to make things a bit less scary in there, even when you're probably scared yourself. And that helps me feel stronger. So really I should be thanking you Satou-sempai."

Blushing some she laughed, "Well, I did ask Keiichi-sempai what it was to kiss someone, and he showed me...I guess that is practice. I'm not really sure...really this is the first time I've really kissed someone like that."

"I already know you don't like girls, Misachan. That much was obvious." Kanaye raised an eyebrow at the last few words of that sentence. "Because you don't know? That's usually a problem, not knowing why you did something." he pointed out.

Kanaye sighed. He's going to blow it right here. "I know that you want Shiori and Keiichi to be happy, and I know you think she likes him, but I think Maeko likes you and you are obviously disbelieving of that. Just," he faltered, gulping. "let these things takes their course. If they get together, great. If they don't, also great. Just let them do it themselves. You're right though!" he said, glad to get off that topic. "Her drawings are great."

"I know that but that doesn't mean you have to go out of your way to do it!" Kanaye said before immediately regretting it. Calm down, Kanaye, you're going to blow it. he said, gulping. Smiling at the rest of her comment, he said "Thanks, Misachan."

Kanaye just stared. "You asked Keiichi what it was like to kiss someone, and he showed you." he said, deadpan. "...Really? That's rather amazing, I'd think you'd have a boyfriend by now, or at least you'd have had one."

"Well...I can't tell you..." she said quickly blushing red. It would be way to embaressing to tell him what she had been thinking. Not to mention he was her Sempai by two years!

"She has amazing artwork, and I really wish she would show other people," Misaki said brightly folding her hands behind her back. She stared at him, "Why not help out Sempai? I mean, even if I can't solve the problem, I want to at least help make someone feel better. I...I like it when people can feel happy, it just makes things feel nicer all over. And even if it just means cheering someone up then, I'll do that."

She flushed, "Well I was curious becuase it seemed to make him flip out some, and well he kinda did." She looked down at her skirt and played with the hem of it, shaking her head. "Nope, no boyfriend. I...Boys don't seem to want to talk to me too much, and well...I guess, my family wouldn't approve of anyone that liked me. My mom wants me to date boys that she picks from the sons of the othe professors." Misaki rubbed her arm a bit. "I...there are people that I like but I'm to shy to say much to them...and well...I know most of the time they'll say no because people tend to think that I'm...well you put it, as a kitten. They get weird around me and then just...I don't know, they feel scared or something like they're going to break me."

Misaki looked up at him, feeling it was okay to just ask, "Sempai...do...do you like Shiori-chan?"

Kanaye just quirked an eyebrow at Misaki before smiling. He got her, hook, line, and sinker. "Well if you insist..."

"I know! I don't know why she doesn't..." Kanaye exclaimed before sighing again. "Yeah, it might make them happy. But maybe it won't.. Maybe they like someone else, or they aren't ready for a relationship yet, or maybe they just want to do it themselves. It's nice of you to try, but just let them handle it, alright?"

Kanaye just blinked. "...Odd. I'd think guys would be all over a Yamato Nadeshiko like you, but to each their own I guess. So you kissed him for no apparent reason? Well, that's interesting. I didn't think it would be something that you, of all people, would do, but I guess we've both learned something today. I don't know why people would think they'd break you, except you seem like you're easily broken. You might wanna fix that."

Kanaye gulped. The one question he DIDN'T want her to ask... "Yes. And you. And pretty much every other pretty girl. I don't see why I wouldn't."

"I guess being happy is something someone has to make for themself," Misaki sat on a log and looked up at him thoughtfully. She was avoiding her own thoughts and just figuring out what to say. "I guess I'm going to have to, even if it feels like they're being blind as bats."

She rubbed her neck and laughed some, "It's because I guess they feel weird around my family.It's hard when you're asked about what you intend to do in university and then get looks when it's not something related to like Math or Science, or history." Blushing more she added, "It wasn't just no apparent reason I...I wanted to know what it felt like. That's all. No one ever kissed me before. So I wanted to see what it was like. That was all." She shrugged some at the latter part, "I guess I should, I just don't know how."

"But I mean...do you LIKE like her, not just like you like say Toshimi-chan. I mean really truely with your heart like her." Misaki asked him plainly. She was playing with her skirt again. Why was asking him this making her nervous.

Kanaye smiled. "There you go! Glad to see you figured it out." he said. "Ah, but don't bats, in their own way, have better vision then us?? They have to figure it out themselves or they'll never be happy."

Blinking, he pondered a bit. "Odd. Your parents need to lighten up. I know I've said it before but it's so important it bares repeating. Just tell them about it, and they'll relent. Hopefully." Kanaye, chuckling a bit, continued. "So you kissed him because you wanted to know what a kiss felt like? You could've asked me or something."

Kanaye blinked again. "Once again, yes. Just like you and Toshimi. You really don't get me very much, do you?"

Misaki giggled some and smiled, "Well I'm not as dumb as I look you know. Acutally they have sonar. It's used to navigate. They send out echolocation to sense what's around them so they can fly. They can't see very well at all. But I guess you're right."

She pulled up her knees and shook her head, "They're not going to. My mom...she's a workaholic, she likes being at work more then at home." Misaki blushed deeper at this comment, "Well...um...you weren't around at the time. And I was curious that's all. Is that wrong Sempai?"

Misaki looked at him curiously, "So you don't have anyone that you would think of as a girlfriend sempai?"

Kanaye facepalmed. "Yes, Misaki, that was what I was getting at. Just a different way of sensing the world, that's all. Probably my fault, should've made it clearer."

"...That's a bit of a problem. Why don't you leave? I'm sure Maeko or someone would help you find a place to stay." Blinking a bit while trying to stay calm, Kanaye mentally cursed. She looked so cute... "No, no, no..."

"U-um..." Kanaye stammered. "Not...really no. Why?"

Misaki giggled some and smiled, "You know I'm just kidding a bit here right Sempai. I understood you perfectly Sempai," she grined some, "You're as easy to tease as my little brother."


This comment made her look down, "I can't, I...it wouldn't be right. They are my family and, well who would look after Tomako or the twins. Shizukia-neechan, is busy with school, Hotoro-neesan is working, and well Hikaru-niisan is getting married and doesn't have time for things like that. I don't want to leave them alone." She rocked some on the log, "Maybe someday...but not right now. I don't have a job even, I can't afford to stay anywhere, and I don't want to be a burden on someone."

Again she laughed and smiled, "I'm sure that you're a good kisser Sempai. But you shouldn't kiss someone who's not experinced, you know."

"That's suprising, I would think that you might like someone," she smiled softly. "A lot of girls like you, they're always talking about you in the hallways."

Kanaye smiled. "Well, that's good to know! And here I was, thinking you were retarded." he said before frowning. "Hey, what does that mean?" he asked in mock-indignation.

Sighing, he frowned. "I don't care what it would be right or not, if you aren't happy just leave. I'm sure Maeko or Keiichi will be tripping over themselves to help you. Having a misplaced sense of duty is one of the ways people get roped into abusive relationships, yaknow." he said wisely.

Kanaye raised an eyebrow is surprise. "Oh? Why wouldn't I do that? Wouldn't it be better for me to share my experiance with others?"

He shook his head. "I could say the same of you. You have a freaking fanclub and you don't have a boyfriend. That's rather surprising."

"Oh you're so kind sempai," she said in a slightly mischivious way and grinned more, "Well you just act like him. You're always teasing people and always trying to show off like he is. So you remind me of him. It's not really a bad thing, he's the closest sibling to me."

Misaki shook her head again, "I don't want to cause them trouble. Also I don't know Keiichi-sempai's family, so it would seem rude, and well...I'm not sure why, but Maeko-chan doesn't like me coming over to her house." Again his comments made her think, "Sempai, were you ever in a relationship like that?"

She blushed red again and looked away, "I...I don't k-know...Maybe...I'm not sure."

"Well it's because the person I like..." Misaki kicked the dirt, "The person I like...I don't think...that is...I haven't told him...and well...I'm not sure if it would be a good thing to say anything just yet."

Kanaye sighed yet again. He was doing that a lot lately. "Look, just...just tell your parents that you don't care what they think and that they can go bugger off. Seriously, you can do what you want, and they can't tell you otherwise."

Kanaye laughed. "Well if you're not sure why did you bother asking?"

Kanaye smiled. This was his territory. "Oh~? Why not, Misachan~? Why wouldn't it be a good idea? And who is it? You can tell me, I wouldn't tell anyone..." he said, grinning all the while.

"Not easy to do, I"m sure you can attest to that Sempai. Sure I can tell them that, but...I need to save up first. I need to have some way of supporting myself." Misaki told him and tilted her head some. "You sound like Kiriko-chan a bit Sempai."

"I..." She flushed more, "Well you're...um...good...at it."

"Ahh...well...I...see..." she blushed even more and whimpered. "Shirai-san."

"Kirichan, eh?" he said, thinking. "Well, I wouldn't say that, but I'll take that as a compliment! And thanks, Misachan, every guy wants to know he's a good kisser and- WHAT?" he screamed. "Reizo? Fucking Reizo? Seriously? What the hell, I mean what the hell? What do you SEE in him? He's violent, grouchy, violent, yakuza, and VIOLENT!" Kanaya screamed.

"He isn't like that...Seriously he..." Misaki cried out moving back from Kanaye and flushing. "He...there's a boy that lives next door, he's really kind to him, and his house is amazingly clean, it's like...he's a different person at home then he is at school. He's actually nice and careing."

She looked down, "And I like you too Sempai!"
