Who: Masami and OPEN~~~
What: Masami is watching a very sappy TV drama. Others may or may not ridicule her for this.
When: Sometime afternoonish
Where: Butterfly house common room
Why: That's the left fielder's name.

Masami leaned back in her beanbag, which she'd moved directly in front of the TV in the common room, and flipped through the channels until she found the one she was looking for. Her show was just about to start.

That show was the currently popular TV drama Confession Daisakusen. It was about a man who, while attending his childhood friend's wedding, desperately wished he could go back in time and tell her about his feelings for her. A fairy appears and gives him the chance to do just that through returning to the time of various pictures in the wedding slideshow. Unfortunately it was six episodes in, and though he had managed to correct many of his mistakes on each of the days he'd traveled back to, he'd still been unable to properly convey his feelings.

The plot of today's episode: Ken decides that on the eve of Rei's 20th birthday, he'd go and wait for her at the post office where she was to mail out a major project that she'd worked on, so that he could tell her his feelings and be the first person she'd see on her birthday. This time, would Ken finally succeed? Masami eagerly watched the first few scenes of the episode, waiting with baited breath.

Kai smiled at Masami's enthusiasm; it was nice to see her get excited over something other than fighting.

"Awwww, is this a love story or something? I don't usually watch TV so this is new to me."

He pulled his legs up to his chest, scrunching into a ball as he turned his head back to the TV. "It feels weird to be doing something so normal while everything else is happening," he said without really thinking about it.

"Confession Daisakusen is the most popular TV drama right now! You've been missing out!" Masami said excitedly, "It's been my favorite since I saw the first episode!"

She went on into a long-winded summary of everything that had happened in the series so far. The formula was obvious - each episode, the lead character Ken would go back in time to try to make up for his mistakes on a particular day and finally confess his feelings for Rei, however, every episode his own obstinate nature or some other outside force would get in the way, and while he'd succeed at deepening Rei's feelings for him, he'd ultimately fail in changing Rei's marriage on the present day.

"...So that should get you caught up," Masami finally finished her explanation. It was apparent that Masami was quite the sucker for sappy romances like this. She went right back to watching the show intently until Kai spoke again.

"Lots of things have been going on, but we can't let that completely consume us. We need to be prepared for fighting the angels, but... well, even I need a break from fighting, you know? We're only human..."
