Who: Keiichi and OPEN~!
What: Advertising Cooking Club with tasty treats!
Where: Hallways of Nanakamado High
When: Day or two after ABC Meeting
Why: COOKING CLUB HAS NO MEMBERS.

With little else to do with his life, as Cooking Club was off (and even when not off, its membership was comparable to such fine institutions as the Nanakamado Lint Collection Association), Keiichi had decided that it was time to drum up some interest in his club.

That of course meant he'd commandeered a couple of desks from 2-B, and placed them out in the hallway. On one was a pile of flyers about his club, and on the other was a basket containing oatmeal raisin cookies. Perhaps being a realist, cookies outnumbered flyers roughly two to one.

Seated behind his desks, with a "COOKING CLUB!" sign helpfully taped to the front of the desks written in Dullie marker, Keiichi was ready for a nice long day of people taking cookies and not much else.

Masami wandered by the desks, and despite herself was enticed over by the presence of cookies. Common knowledge around Nanakamado stated that while most members of the cooking club were woefully incompetent chefs, Keiichi himself actually was the real deal. Hopefully(and most likely) it had been Keiichi who baked the cookies, not the other members.

There was already a third-year by the desks. Masami recognized him from the Anti-Bullying Club meeting. He hadn't actually introduced himself, but given his appearance Masami knew he was that weird half-American... Tim or something. Masami wasn't very good with western names.

"Good afternoon, Ito-san, senpai," she said with a polite bow.

Spotting the booth in the hallway, Kiriko stopped. She had no interest in the cooking club, but she did want a cookie. Practically speaking, cooking was probably a good thing for her to learn - she wasn't terrible at it at the moment, but she wasn't by any stretch good at it either. It required care and patience, and she had neither.

Approaching the booth, she edged her way between the two other people already there. She recognized everyone vaguely from the Anti-Bullying club - the reserved girl from Kendo, the cooking club lead, and... that creepy gaijin kid. Well, he never seemed to talk much, at least.

"Hello, Ito-san. How much are the cookies?"

Three people, mostly of different ages. Kouchisei didn't pay the eldest any attention, the second didn't catch his notice, and he gave a recognising nod to the last. He slipped into a space on the right and fingered the corner of a leaflet between thumb and forefinger. Amazingly, he showed no interest in the cookies.

There was a deeper interest, and it was quite self-serving. Like most were, so he didn't feel too bothered by it.

He waited till Kiriko had finished before speaking, "What turn-out do you get, normally?"

Tom took two steps backward, and silently examined the group. He felt like he ought to question them, but how do you ask about a feeling only you might have?

In the end he quietly folded the piece of paper, and slipped it into his pocket. He watched the four of them carefully, and listened to their comments. If nothing else he'd observe some detail about them. Sure it'd be a lie, he'd only ;earn about the false front they projected for interacting with people, but what they chose to present could give a clue as to who they are as it were.

Phantoms of a fox, a demon, a fiery man, an armed man and a man stringing a bow seem to pass in front of the group's eyes, fading rapidly, leaving scarcely enough time to register.
