Who: Toru and Masami
What: A post-dungeon visit
Where: Masami's room in the dorms
When: Backdated like whoa to postdungeon
Why: He wanted answers.

Toru didn't make it a habit of going out to visit other students, even if they were friends from his team. To a former hikkikomori, it didn't exactly come easily. But at the same time, he had an actual goal now, and thus a motivation. Masami had been filled with such rage in her dungeon, and over what? The fact that the team didn't know her well? It didn't make sense to him.

And that's why he was there, in the hallway, about to knock on the door of her dorm room. Not because he wanted to ask how she was doing, necessarily, but because he needed answers.

He rapped on the door with one hand, still feeling a tinge of apprehension.

Masami had been lying down, half-asleep from lingering exhaustion when a knock on the door jolted her fully awake. She'd been visited a number of times in the past few days, so it didn't come as too much a surprise that someone was knocking, but when one was not fully awake everything seemed so much more sudden than it really was. Slowly, she pulled herself out of bed and over to the door, cracking it open.

Who it was on the other side of the door, however, was somewhat of a surprise. Toru wasn't exactly someone she'd expect a visit from.

"Good afternoon, Ishinomori-san," she said politely. She felt stiff, speaking so formally to someone who was supposed to be one of her comrades, but that was what was proper. "Come in," she invited as she opened the door wider and stepped back.

"E-er, hi, Sakuraba-senpai," Toru replied. It felt stiff and awkward to do so, but he bowed in response to her polite language.

With the door open, he followed her lead into the room, and chose to sit in a nonthreatening location- the floor.

Once the otaku was settled, he turned to face Masami.

"I'm sorry for barging in like this. I just wanted to talk a bit."

Masami sat herself back down on her bed after shutting the door behind Toru.

"It's no problem, really... I just didn't expect you to visit me," she said.

If she didn't expect Toru to visit her, she certainly didn't expect him to want to talk to her. "Umm... what did you want to talk about?"

"It's the least I can do. I remember coming out of Paradise after my shadow appeared really, really sucked, and, so, like... I-I wanted to make sure you were okay." It wasn't entirely true, but close enough for Toru's purposes.

He brought his knees up to his chest. "Are you okay? I mean, I still need to ask you some stuff, but..." Toru shook his head, torn over what to say. "What was making you so angry in Paradise? What was your shadow so upset about? Maybe I'm just dense for not noticing, but..."

"I'm... well, aside from the whole sick and exhausted thing, I guess I'm OK... Thanks," Masami said, smiling.

This smile was short-lived though. "Well... I guess... I guess it wasn't really so much angry at one thing, but... everything. Myself included... I was bottling everything in all this time, repressing it because I didn't want to accept myself," she explained, but she wasn't sure she was making complete sense.

"Maybe it's like... you know how when a dam breaks, all the water comes gushing out at once? I think... it was like that..."
