Who: Renju, open. What: Returning. When: The day after the dorm reopening announcement. Where: Iburi subway. Why: People need to get around the city somehow, right?
Renju sniffled, the sneeze that caused it--rather powerful for such a small source--fortunately muffled behind a mask. She wasn't entirely sure when she'd caught it, but she suspected that her immune system had been weakened by lack of sleep. The images that she could rationalize away during her waking hours still haunted her subconscious, and one led to another in a chain of associations that ended with unseen clammy hands groping at her arms and plucking at her blood-stained clothes, emerging from a darkness broken only by golden eyes, all backed by a familiar shriek--
But she had a distraction now. Well, two. One was this, but the other was the moving process, and (more importantly) the circumstances that caused it. Ishino-sensei had been arrested; whether the charges were valid was something none of them could say. The result was the same: the school was reopened, and whatever students hadn't been withdrawn out of fear would be returning. Had the angels somehow offered a scapegoat to throw them off the trail, cause them to let their guard down? Or was it the reopening they wanted for some unfathomable reason? Aomori had been so vehement about it, and they'd killed him, right?
She sighed and nudged one of her suitcases with her foot, pushing it closer to its mate. Her possessions were few enough that this was all she'd really needed, besides her ever-present bag. She wasn't the only one carrying them; she saw Nanakamado colors elsewhere in the car, though whether or not this was a relief was--
Another sneeze interrupted that train of thought. Damn her immune system.
