WHO: Kozue and Isao
WHAT: Paying back a small debt
WHERE: Shopping mall
WHEN: After Seiko!Dungeon
WHY: Paying Back Debts and Also Shopping

Kozue had texted Isao with directions, and a time to meet, and that he was still good for that personal errand boy thing for the yen right?

And now, here she was, waiting at the mall, swinging her purse slightly at her side and looking around; this was about as close to throwing someone into 'personal slavery' as she was really interested in getting, and as small a gesture as she thought pointed out that the money had not mattered all that much. Even if it was a bit of cash, it was the appearance of having more than enough to spare that Kozue cherished, just now.

So she'd just do a round of clothing shopping (something she had promised herself ever since her time in Paradise but had not found the right combination of mood and time to indulge in) and make him tag along and carry all her packages. It was work without being overly cruel or personal; it was also a chance for her to get a read on the person who had so effortlessly slaughtered her ti...

She frowned, and looked at the ground. A chance for her to get a read on one of the strangers who had saved her life. That was it. Obviously.

He should've known it was coming, but in all honesty he hadn't really expected that someone actually call his debt. Well... his roommate had. But that was another story entirely. Still, he had offered himself over as an errand boy and he wasn't about to say no. He had been capable of paying her back since a few days ago and it... slipped his mind. Helping her out with something was the least he could do.

Isao had no idea what he should be prepared for, but he knew that the fact that he was supposed to meet her in a shopping mall had to hint something. Seeing it as an opportunity to get out of his uniform for awhile, he went out in his usual mismatched mess. It wasn't really that bad. Sorta. Orange and pink argyle patterned pants with a lime green hoody. If nothing more, the clothes fit him appropriately and might have looked good in the way that different bright colors looked good thrown together. Sometimes. Sorta.

Either way, what he was wearing never crossed his mind. What was more important was getting to where he needed to be on time. He double-checked the text that she had sent to make sure it was the right time and place before he spotted her. He walked over, prepared for the worst. Though he assumed that anything she had planned couldn't be that terrible.

"Hey," he gave her a casual wave. "So what's the plan?"

She looked up, and raised her hand to wave, and then... blinked. The colors were blinding. The colors were retina-injuring. Had Shimohama been mugged by a Bad Fashion Bear? Had he dressed in the dark? At gun-point?

Kozue swallowed. "Hey, Shimohama-senpai. Well, I was thinking of doing some shopping today, and buying stuff. Lots of stuff. If you carried my bags, I think it'd make us even for the loan?" She made herself smile, then, because continuing to stare at the argyle would lead to an untimely death. Probably hers, but there was an off chance…

"What do you think?"

Her immediate reaction when he greeted her seemed a little weird. He looked down at himself for a moment, wondering if he had something spilt on himself and forgotten. When he saw nothing he raised an eyebrow, as he genuinely didn't understand why she had given him a funny look. He figured that it was probably just something behind him though. There were plenty of weird things that passed by in the mall, so he had probably just missed it.

"Sure, sounds fine to me." What he really should have asked ahead of time was what sort of 'lots of stuff' she intended to buy. What did girls usually shop for...? Shoes? Clothes? None of that could be that heavy... right? Yeah, he probably should've asked, but he was being optimistic. "Where to first then?"

Where to go first. Kozue stopped, pondering this a moment. It was, in the wide run of things, a completely inconsequential decision, and, therefore, one that she felt utterly confident in making. After a long moment of pondering, she nodded her head: "Let's start with shoes. The department store at the other end is having an end of summer sale," she added. Which meant that Kozue was going to clean them out.

They hadn't any idea what was headed for them. And, while they were there, maybe she could casually pick up a hoodie in a non-glowing color for her companion. The difficult question would be figuring out how to get him to wear it without being too obvious. Or flirting.
